| Second Reality on Plus/4! | Posted by Csabo on 2018-12-29 |
Well, kind of :-) This project was prepared for the last Arok Party, where MicroMorph0s1s came first in the Wild category. Unfortunately, after the compo, this could not be shown on the large projector, so a handful of Plus/4 sceners watched it, and then it was forgotten.
Until now, that is! Thanks to Larry, you can now see the footage here: [ YouTube ] |

| Commemorating Ye Olde Art Of Xmas' BASIC Typing | Posted by Luca on 2018-12-28 |
Our Plus/4 Advent Calendar 2018 opens a new window!
Several guys at Forum64 has opened a special thread called BASIC-Weihnachten, which smells and looks like our past Christmases' ghost, a nostalgic cauldron of feelings wobbling of ancient memories which nowadays seem to be roughly common for all of us. In order to have a present to send to all the authors and subscribers in that forum, they started to collect several short-typing BASIC games, moslty for C64. This collection has been printed as a booklet to spread as Xmas gift, pushing the idea of typing BASIC listings when the cold days of December invite you to rest at home.
RKSoft offerend his own skills to the cause, entering the collection with Santas Winter Work, a sweet and coloured no-brain duty game surprisingly closed in a so short BASIC listing, that plays like a classic handheld LCD game straight from the past. Santas Winter Work lonely witnesses the C16 in the whole booklet, so thank you RKSoft for being witness ambassador of our system. Oh-oh-oooh! |

| Digiloi: Fight In Full PETSCIIvision! | Posted by Luca on 2018-12-27 |
Xmas is the right time to receive presents from relatives of your own family, and the Commodore family can't miss this tradition, too!
Dr. TerrorZ has just delighted before all of us with his total mastery about PETSCII graphics, and stuff like Nothing But PET SKI or The First Ball should easily convince anybody. Digiloi is a bigger leap ahead: a complete action game in PETSCIIvision, with gigantic characters and a very colorful scenario of shiny metallic bulbs and intricated jungle. The Plus/4 version of his own original C64 game would have simply seen as a natural consequence, but the author himself did find the present (again!) of a new speed for his code, achieving a surprising 30% faster version of the game.
Now you all know how to spend your Xmas holidays: save the whole planet by disabling the master computer, find three floppy keys and insert them in the terminal. PETSCIIblast'em all! |

| Read Club Info in English (sort of) | Posted by Csabo on 2018-12-20 |
Club Info, the German diskmag just celebrated 150 issues this year. Its history is rooted deep in the German scene, so over the years the need for English translation has come up a few times. In the age of automatic translation, all we would need is a way to copy/paste the magazine's text into a translator service. That might be a troublesome task using an actual Commodore Plus/4 :-)
Thankfully, the arduous legwork of faithfully extracting all the text has now been completed. This little side project was started in January, with Erich's blessing. Therefore, users of Chrome can now easily use the build-in translation service to get a pretty good translation of the mag's text. For users of other browsers, we've added a button with a link. There's also another suggested site: [ DeepL ], but we can't link to them, so you'll have to use copy/paste to get a translation.
More than 15 million characters of text is waiting for you, if you're interested :-) Enjoy! |

| Type-Ins from Computer Games | Posted by Csabo on 2018-12-12 |
Today we've added 6 missing programs. They are from Computer Gamer, a video game magazine from the UK. It used to cover most 8-bit systems, and so they occasionally published C16 type-in games. Here they are: - Caves Of Hell from Issue 27 - Hell House from Issue 6. This issue also included a cut-out cassette cover for each game! - Karate Champ from Issue 9 - Master Coder from Issue 1 - Red Alert from Issue 3 - Solitaire from Issue 18 Apologies for this being put up so late. (This should be a standard apology attached to most news items, in this case, it took about nearly 6 months for this to make it.) I don't have a good excuse, simply not enough free time. This would be the part where I thank and credit the submitted, but unfortunately I misplaced the email :-/ I had this in my to-do folder with the date of 2018-06-21. Whoever sent it, please comment :-) |

| Covers From IQ666 - Part 2 | Posted by Csabo on 2018-11-21 |
Continuing from Part 1, the next batch of cover scans and cassette photos from IQ666 has been uploaded today. Here is what's new: * Cassette photo for 10 Computer Hits 3 * Ace 2 cassette and "epilepsy warning" - the publisher must have thought this to be hugely important, as it's printed in 8 languages :-) * Four Great Games cassette photos * A self-help card included with Future Knight (which uses the word... "blastventure") * Ikari Warriors cassette photo * Summer Events cassette photo (Anco release) * And finally the 4 "sides" of the cover for Winter Olympiade (which was the name of the German release of Winter Events). Check it out, there's more to come! |

| A Piece Of News We Missed | Posted by Csabo on 2018-11-19 |
About a year and a half ago Litwr made a rather low-key announcement on the forum. He let us know that he developed a Windows program which is essentially a replacement or a rival to Austrospeed Compiler. CBCCWIF (or Commodore +4 Basic Cross Compiler with Italian flavor) takes your BASIC program file and produces an ASM version, which can then be assembled. Although we don't have official benchmarks, the resulting machine-language program files appear to be much faster than what Austro produces.
Today we rectified our mistake of not adding this program to our list of tools. Sorry about that! You can now find it here, with a link to the official homepage for more info. Anyone developing BASIC games should give it a try, and be sure to send your feedback to the author. |

| UUUU #3: Myth | Posted by Luca on 2018-11-12 |
Welcome to the third episode of UUUU: Unearthed/Unseen/Unfinished/Unreleased, the last available ship taking vanished code straight to your emulators, SD2IECs, 5¼ diskettes and so on.
Today it's the turn for something big, something ambitious, something (maybe) truly existing somwhere. A soty from the past, that could easily become a forthcoming future, if somebody will have the chance to pick up the right disks from his old collection. It's time for Myth: History in the Making, the never seen before conversion from scratch labelled as Methabolix, resulting from the efforts of Beast and Unreal.
We have tried to squeeze the most from the Unreal's disks, but we ain't able to seek out the real deal: the working final version. Anyway, we have a playable demo (V6.4/C says the related directory) that shows fantastic animations, solid gameplay, gigantic bosses, working code...and yes, some flawlesses here and there which scream:"It's still a previewwwww!".
Our pleasure is serving you all at our best: we scraped the darkest corners of the disks ciited above, just to pull out from them any useful bit of involved stuff, in order to have the best idea about how the game would have been once finished; we have a video of the full digimusic intro; we added cheats too, we tested the commands, we bruteforced the loader, we have read all the readable text about the game.
Enjoy Myth, we will meet again for the 4th chapter of this journey along the unseen. Wait for that, nothing will be lost, it's just playing hide'n'seek ;) |

| Covers From IQ666 - Part 1 | Posted by Csabo on 2018-11-10 |
Scan collection increase time! "Recently" registered member IQ666 submitted a boatload of covers, which can only be added in small chunks, otherwise it will never be done. IQ666, whose real name is Kai Uwe... Does that ring a bell? If you immediately though of seeing an advert in the old A-System demo Electric Movie... Then you have an exceptionally good memory, I guess? For everyone else, the takeaway is, our friend has been a quiet part of the scene for quite a long time!
So, with 31 files totaling 4.5MB uploaded, let's have a quick rundown of what's new: * 4 In 1 Hit Pak two cassette photos added * ACE an alternative cover and German inlay added * Battle Star cassette photo added * Bongo cassette photo and German inlay added * Footballer Of The Year cassette photo and back cover added * Ghosts 'n Goblins cassette photo, plus English, German and French instructions added * Mercenary cassette photos added, apparently the 2nd side has the C64 version on it! * Alternative Kingsoft covers added for Micro Datei, Music Master and Paintbox, something to look out for if you're a collector * Music Synthesiser cassette photo added * Scooby Doo English, German and French instruction scans added
Finally, something else interesting: apparently the Anirog 1984 release of Las Vegas had numbered prints... We replaced the current scan with Kai's, but since we keep track of everything else under the sun Plus/4 related, we also started a little section keeping track of who owns what. (This might eventually grow into a proper place for people to keep track of their collections.) For now, whoever submitted the original scan, please edit your name, and if you happen to own a copy, please add your name. More to come, thanks to IQ666 for these, enjoy! |

| Happy Halloween! Zombie Calavera Prologue | Posted by Luca on 2018-10-31 |
Trick or treat? Oh well, it seems like we got both of them this year!
Hokuto Force signs this year's Halloween time by releasing a game with the right creepy mood that fits the time of evil grinning pumpkins and hanged skeletons. Zombie Calavera Prologue, originally created for ZX Spectrum, comes in the night riding a headless horse, straight from the vast catalogue of The Mojon Twins, and lands on the desecrated grounds of C64, VIC20 and Plus/4. Coded by Majikeyric, whom definitely demonstrates his settled presence in the Plus/4 scene, it also features graphics by na_th_an and music by Uctumi, and finds its way out thanks to the game development division of Hokuto Force "Digital Monastery", a quasi-sophomore of this latter one on Plus/4, if we consider Matatu.
Help Santos the graveyard guardian, to save his beloved wife Mara and take his long awaiting revenge from an ancient evil priest, collect all the crucifixes he needs, hide in shadows to avoid the spirits which seek you relentlessly. Enter the lands of purgatory with you gun and try to get out from there as a winner. Happy damned, jumping and shooting Halloween to you all! |

| "Rodmän" Preorders Now Open | Posted by Luca on 2018-10-13 |
"Rodmän", the brand new game signed by Mika Misfit Keränen, is now ready to be preordered at The Future Was 8bit.
The game comes in a Special Edition combining three different multiformat cassettes, in order to purchase the whole bunch of versions (C64, C16, VIC20 +16K, ZX Spectrum, Amstrad CPC464, Oric1, MSX!), and the digital download for all the formats is included too. Purchasing the whole big pack is the only way to get it: the actual words from the distributor are:"Chances of individual release other than digital download is slim. Price as low as we can to cover all costs and to give Misfit a bit back for his hard work. Is that not worth the cost alone?".
If you wanna see how the real thing runs and plays, Misfit c̶o̶u̶l̶d̶ ̶(̶"̶c̶o̶u̶l̶d̶"̶ ̶y̶e̶t̶,̶ ̶a̶t̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶t̶i̶m̶e̶ ̶w̶e̶'̶r̶e̶ ̶w̶r̶i̶t̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶t̶h̶i̶s̶ ̶t̶e̶x̶t̶)̶ will release a playable demo just at the end of the preorder's period, hence stay tuned for further news.
Preorder Rodmän at The Future Was 8bit. C16 games still sold around in 2018? Yes. Of course. Why not? ;) |

| New Stuff From Lacus | Posted by Csabo on 2018-10-07 |
Lacus sent us some new stuff; I'd like to share it with you all. First off we finally have the cover artwork, cassette photo and TAP file for 3-D Sakk, a Hungarian 3D chess program. For Verem, which is a decent Hungarian Tetris game we now have a HQ cover as well. Finally, there's something new: Magyarország (Newline) is a never-before seen educational program. Your task is to point out the location of given cities on Hungary's map. One of the developers is ETC, the developer of the legendary Digital Box, who we "found" this year. If you haven't yet, you can check out his profile for some historical info.
We've also added an official product list from Newline to their page. Big thanks to Lacus for these! |

| UUUU #2: XeO3 | Posted by Luca on 2018-09-27 |
Few days have passed since our new argument had its first hit, and...here we are again! UUUU ("Unearthed/Unseen/Unfinished/Unreleased") is back with the 2nd subject, a real classic, one of the longest winding suffered case history in the Plus/4 scene: the most wanted XeO3 shoot'em up game by Mike Dailly in collaboration with Luca!
Although several testing programs have been released, XeO3 didn't have its own database entry, just like all the other game's previews, an injustice all in all! This is the chance to build up a common field where to follow any possible forthcoming news about the project, and where to recap the whole history behind it: a brief compendium of facts about it, all the videos, all the main sites about it, all the releases about it till now.
See you in the 3rd appointment of UUUU, then. Don't miss a new piece of history which comes back to life! |

| UUUU #1: Tomcat +4 World Special Edition 2010 | Posted by Luca on 2018-09-07 |
During all those years, we at Plus/4 World have stored some very old stuff, like demo or game previews, or broken codes, or dropped projects and so on. After so many years, many of these half baked productions might have been left alone due to getting no chance to see'em finished (just like Lemmings, for example...), could have been officially declared as case closed by the author, or simply they're orphan of their author himself.
So, welcome to the first time of "Unearthed/Unseen/Unfinished/Unreleased" (briefly: UUUU), the time and place when and where we wanna include those weird stuff into our database, and a new strange story has to be narrate to the aficionados audience! Let's start with Tomcat +4 World Special Edition 2010, a cooperation work by Darron Broad, the real man behind Tomcat, and Luca/FIRE, combined their forces together to obtain...well, a slightly missed target :)
Seeya next time, when, occasionally, a new UUUU will be taken to the light, carrying its load of unsuccessful stories to expose. |

| A Very Last Chance Both For Ghosts And For Goblins | Posted by Luca on 2018-09-05 |
The legend says: Commando commercial C16 version, the official one, iis the worst computer game in the whole world. You probably haven't ever met with Ghosts 'n Goblins C16, I presume!
Actually, there's no chance of forgiveness for this bunch of total mess, and the only way to appreciate it again, after "just" 32 years, is a C16 working trainer on disk, in order to have a complete view about the desolation of the proposed scenario. And this is it: 4 trainers and that little graphics bugfixing about the main..."sprite" and the title logo. And that's what Ghosts 'n Goblins +4! rapresents all in all. |

| G64 Days | Posted by Rüdiger on 2018-08-07 |
Unfortunately, we have had only a few manufacturers in the past who offered commercial software on floppy disk. One of the few was Kingsoft, among others, and they also had good copy protection on the floppy disks. That made sure again and again that only fairly moderate cracks were partially in circulation. And sometimes the disk versions are not 100% identical to the existing tape versions. Also Anco had few titles on disk, which have the same copy protection.
Thanks to the friendly help of a user from the German Forum 64, a large part of the existing original floppy disks could now be made into the G64 format.
We now have the following new G64: Bongo, Bridgehead (C-16 and Plus/4 version on a disk), Chipy, Crillion, Demolition , Die Seefahrt, Emerald Mine II, Fire-Galaxy, Fortress Underground (without graphic bug!), Karate King, Karting Grand Prix , Legende im Eis, Maniax, Der Pfad im Dschungel, Plus-Paket 16, Quiwi (from both disk sides, plus the expansion disks 1 & 2), Das Rätsel um die 7. Kolonie, Space Pilot, Kingsoft Sport Show, Two to One, Winter Olympiade (German release of the Winter Events). From Anco are adding Power Pack (Anco) and Strip Poker II plus.
Of the applications and utilities have been added: Graphics Designer, Paintbox (here now with 3 demo images!), Music Master, Micro Datei, Micro Kalk, Micro Text 2.0 and Soft 80.
That's not all of Anco and Kingsoft, but a start has been made. We need your (!) help, if there are any more original floppies, so check your collections!
Not a G64 at the last, only a D64 from ACE 2 from Cascade Games, the original disk version. |

| A New Resolution! | Posted by Torque222 on 2018-06-19 |
The new high res is low res. Memory saving impressive graphics using the vast font possibilities of the Commodore Plus/4.
In mode graphic 1 or 2 (2 is the same screen as 1 but with text at the bottom 5 lines) On a full 40 X 25 screen the display combinations are: 16 X 16 X 8 X 8 = 16384 for each font and in graphic 1 or 2 mode you have 128 fonts to use. So, 16384 X 128 = 2097152 (Not subtracting same color foreground and background fonts) |

| Do (Not Avoid) Spikes! | Posted by Luca on 2018-06-12 |
Straight from its own C64 and VIC20 versions, both created by Majikeyric, in the brilliance of 4Kbytes, here comes Spikes CPlus/4!
Spikes CPlus/4 is a single key triggered game working on C16/Plus4, where a weird blocky bird with rounded corners is flappying between the two walls of a closed room while an increasing number of spikes randomly pop up from both two. How long can you resist? More hiscores to come, one your skill increases game after game.
Majikeyric did it all by himself, then he released it under the Hokuto Force label, offering a great comeback path to our beloved friends, which mostly come from the C64 side of the scene. So it's now time to populate the Hall of Fame with all your best scores, let's see who beats who! |

| Castle Matcher - A Kastélymeccs | Posted by Csabo on 2018-06-04 |
Roepipi writes: "My girlfriend started to play Castle Matcher, and I used that chance to translate the game to Hungarian. The result is 'Castle Matcher - A Kastélymeccs'. It wasn't easy, since I didn't originally plan for a Hungarian version, and in many cases, the game relied on the lengths of the original English words. Of course during the translation a few new issues popped up, and even found a 'known bug' (which I wasn't able to fix, but it should not affect the gameplay). I played through the game and here it is, could we upload it?"
The answer is: absolutely :-) If your lack of English was keeping you from trying out this unique and funny game, well, there's no more excuses! |

| New Trackmo - Waiting For Promised Land | Posted by Lavina on 2018-05-12 |
After applying the final touches late at night just before the deadline, our new coop demo of 3 Plus/4 groups called Waiting For Promised Land was released at QBParty 2018. Hopefully it's a small but pleasant surprise :-) The demo was made with Bitfire C+4 (by BSZ & Bubis) making it the first trackmo with this great loader on Plus4. The demo won the oldschool demo compo at the party.
The release also marks the return of an ancient GOTU graphician to active duty as Shadow participated in the making.
A final version is to be released soon. In the meantime, try to find the hidden features and meanings within the party version. ;-) |

| Lone News 21 | Posted by Luca on 2018-05-07 |
At last! All in all, we don't have to wait for ten years to see a new issue of the mag. To be precise, it's just 9 years and 11 months, so we've saved a whole precious month in order to avoid a 2-digits sleeping time :)
The FIRE crew is proud to take all of you way back in time; a time when our coding didn't take in count IRQs as it was a bunch of spaghetti, miraculously working in the very end; a time when certain recaps away from the nowadays social networks were useful and somewhat trusted and followed. Luca/FIRE has released Lone News 21, a brand new 40 pages diskmagazine issue, with an intro picture drawn by Coyote/CNS.
Lone News 21 features the usual charts; some fast news and previews about the current scene; a big, very old interview with Solder, just before his archive has vanished from the internet and no other news did come about him. And last but not least, the real thrust of this issue: all the currently known who/what/when/why about the so called "scanned lady", aka Face Of A Woman, including the steps we did into it, what comes from other researches and, finally, the words of the original Apple engineer who practically scanned the original picture.
Read Lone News 21 in one single gasp, feel the mood of the real oldschool approach to the scene, eventually ask for more! |

| Space Pong | Posted by Luca on 2018-04-28 |
Unexpectedly, SVS of the FIRE crew takes the 2012 dated SVS-Pong into space!
Space Pong is a one player Pong game extravaganza, originally written in BASIC and then compiled with the Austrospeed Compiler, which is intended to be played with an emulator at 200% speed. You win a game when you reach a score which is calculated taking in count of the settings chosen in the main menu: actually, several features can be modulated or activated, in order to have a different challenge at any time, and the hiscore boards shows those settings beside your score. And the latter also shows if you've cheated or not, and probably you would have done it by discovering one of the various Easter eggs included in the game, so search for all of them ;)
Space Pong is a crossover between Pong and a shoot'em up, hence several new entities like rockets and UFOs populate the game area, and some weird events can occur during your play. And you can shoot at all of them, but will you have some aiming skills to hit'em? In order to have a full view of the entire game's mechanics and features, SVS offers to you all an useful manual as .doc file, describing options, gameplay, strategies and more.
Watch the videoclip!
The gauntlet has been thrown down: play Space Pong, improve your scores, find all the secrets! |

| New Game: Magic Blocks | Posted by RKSoft on 2018-04-11 |
Magic Blocks is an arcade style game for Commodore 16/116 (64KB RAM) Plus/4 and Commodore 128. Help the little wizard Archimedes to learn creating and destroying magic blocks, grab the key and leave the screen by entering the door. At some rooms you need creativity to use the magic blocks and at some others you must find a short way to the key and the door before the time runs out. The game comes with 16 levels. On our lovely 264er machine it runs very fast for a BASIC game. Both versions (128 and 264) are identical except the speed and different colors. The download includes the source code. If you have some optimizations etc., please let me know. Have fun with this little game.

| Masters Of The PETSCIIverse | Posted by Luca on 2018-03-21 |
Even a funny online scene episode may become a source of outstanding creations to release, and Mermaid doesn't miss the chance to unleash once again her own art with PETSCII.
In the past months, she did show how an extended palette like the Plus/4 one can improve her skillful usage of the rawest side of 8bit graphics, describing big subjects in the powerful environment of 121 colors. Now this is different, because any individual character of the Grayskull posse has been exalted and described thru his own discrete materials, colors and shapes in some minimal detalis sincerely never seen in previous PETSCII builds. Mermaid never ends to amaze us.
A little G*P+FIRE release for you, graphics by Mermaid, code by Luca, frq converter by TLC. Enjoy! |

| HVTC Update February 2018 | Posted by Luca on 2018-02-26 |
Mostly due to the last releases, the High Voltage TED Collection, better known as HVTC, has been updated, reaching 608 single files and fixing 3 instances.
Don't forget to completely delete the whole previous collection (that's the way to do at any new update!), then download/unzip the new one! This is the straight link to the ZIP file. |

| It's Now Time For "Pets Rescue"! | Posted by Luca on 2018-02-24 |
Nine months passed since Mad/BKN started a thread in the forum about the chance to begin converting some famous games to run on Commodore Plus/4. The so called conversion did early become a game from scratch with some recognisable style, precisely: a platform in Giana's style. After these nine months of painful but passionate work, Pets Rescue has finally seen the light!
She's Dr. Andrea Brown, but all the people name her "Afro Dree", as she uses to entertain their puppies by singing and dancing. Her bigger mistake? To choose her co-workers very badly! And now, the whole county has been invaded by ex-pets under evil mutation; so: it's time to set'em all free, Dr. Dree! The Plus/4 All Stars crew invite all of you to enter this big quest lying in one single disk side, along 20 levels splitted in 5 worlds full of mean creatures, brave jumps, moving platforms, coins to collect, secrets to reveal and much much more! You get one password per world once you solved it, so don't loose your hopes even against the higher difficulties, where you must express your best platformer's performances.
Technically speaking, Mad has allowed the Plus/4 to show exactly the stuff that would have proverbially been deny to it due to the well known specifics of the machine, and the solutions he did find for his code mark another quantum leap in the TED history. Give an experienced graphician and game map's builder to a skilled coder, and the game simply takes off: KiCHY/ASN has designed some very enjoyable game levels with graphic blocks in fancy colours and shapes. It's 5tarbuck at the tracker, composing most of the ingame tunes, together with Luca/FIRE and Degauss/TEK; and the latter two also have also been in charge for all the sprites (Luca) and the music driver (Degauss). Seen that stunning intro picture in overscan MFLI 248 pixels high, and the relative titlescreen's logo? Exactly, it's Carrion! And Nero added his art too. Have you just tried to load the game? Lightspeed, isn't it? Do you still have some technical questions for bubis and BSZ/NST, now that the game loads from both 1541 and 1551 drives?
Pets Rescue has been presented at BCC #12 party held in Berlin, challenging in the Mixed compo. Though the whole game almost fills an entire disk side, and the main part occupies all the memory but 14 (!) bytes left, there will be a commercial release in some months, predictably distributed by Psytronik Software. Rumors say that the commercial release could show some little bonuses here and there, and Carrion himself will draw the box cover...rumors say! ;)
Enough said, we think it's now time to connect your most friendly joystick and stop appreciating the efforts in coding graphics or whatever else; give the real best prize wanted for a game like this, give it your greatest scores. Play Pets Rescue! |

| New Map From Atisoft! | Posted by Csabo on 2018-02-12 |
Atisoft (who created the Booty Map) is back with another one, this time it's for SQIJ. SQIJ is a C16 game from The Power House, perhaps it's a bit of a stretch to call it a classic. It's from the heyday of commercial C16 games, but it's perhaps a bit obscure. If you've written it off as a mindless shooter at first glance, this map will perhaps convince you to give the game another chance. The game's area is quite large - 64 screens, and you will need some planning ahead if you want to complete it. The map should really help to plan out the route.
Check it out (direct link to the map) and enjoy! |

| Club Info 148! | Posted by Csabo on 2018-01-30 |
Our sincere apologies, but we're a little late this time: Club Info 148 was released in December, but we could only get our hands on it now. Side A contains the usual German-language articles, while Side B contains new and recent releases. Perhaps worth mentioning is a little co-op release from Erich and Csabo: Erich's PETSCII Collection is a slideshow of Erich's PETSCII art. Hope you guys enjoy it! |

| "Video Basic" Killed The Archive Stall | Posted by Luca on 2018-01-15 |
It's Giuseppe Di Lillo (sovox) time again.
We just preserved the whole Video Basic series, archived in one single page where to download the related 20 (!) TAP files; now, any issue has its own regular space, completed with cover scans and tape pictures, and any single issue has been linked to its own 36 pages manual in PDF, big work indeed! Computer Games E Utilities N.9 Anno 2 got the same treatment: the whole tape in its TAP file, cassette picture, any single program now present in the archive as TAP file too, and the manual in PDF. Last, Il Libro Dei Giochi Per Commodore 16 E Plus/4 has its own TAP, cover and tape picture, and this takes to recover two lost games: Flipper Cinese and Mondo Di Colori.
The cooperation with Giuseppe and his fantastic homepage dedicated to the Italian newsstand's compilations of hacked games is running wild beyond any expectation, thank you once again, bud! |

| YAPE SDL Updated! | Posted by Csabo on 2018-01-10 |
Gaia just updated the YAPE SDL project. This code is also the base of the fantastic JavaScript emulator, and the new version of that is now online here at Plus/4 World! (Look for the [PLAY ONLINE] links on program pages.) The biggest visual difference you will see is the ability to handle more FLI effects. Be sure check it out, big cheers to Gaia! |

| Sweet DFLI C16 | Posted by Csabo on 2018-01-08 |
Looks like 2018 is certainly off to a good start, as the good news just keep on coming. A new intro from gerliczer has just arrived; check out Sweet DFLI C16! It should run on any 264 family computer as it only needs 16K memory, and has PAL/NTSC versions. The music is a cover of Chuck Berry's Sweet Little Sixteen. As the name suggests, it has a DFLI effect, which is put to good use: waving rasters, 3D rasters and a twister. Check it out and enjoy! |
