 GTW

We at Plus4World added a new Games'type: GTW, Games That Weren't.
Which's a real GTW? Battery 3, for example, is a GTW, Cyclo Preview is not (a preview exists and it is well known), Lemmings will be tagged as "preview" when a working beta (any level of beta) will be put out.

A GTW is a neverseen but rumoured game, with a minimum of evidence. This way, we will keep'em as missing (and excluded for voting of course) with their clues and evidences, and who can say if something or someone will pop up and talk wink

I've just added some, as you can see here. If you can add more evidences and/or other useful infos, feel free to do it (any real evidence from catalouges around Gorf and Wizard Of Wor?).
Next to be added too:
- avenger
- space harrier
- hunchback II
- roland's ratrace
- jeep command
- thing on a spring
- kong strikes back
- software starter pack
- excalibur
- thai boxing plus4 (Lando can you take a better picture of that advert?)
- hit & miss
- triple decker 8
- triple decker 9
- fruit fight

Unfortunately, I have no evidences about Roland's Ratrace, Triple Decker 8 and 9, Rudiger said he'd seen both of latter two. Do you know there are some others to add to this list? Write here!

(BTW, we are still missing Planetfall's disk image, and most of the Triple Decker series tapes, who do have them at home? wink )

 Re: GTW

Uh, terrific spottin'up Lando! :o
Hence, with a decent approximation, we may think that:
- Championship Tennis became Tennis
- Power Boat Racing became Speedboat Grand Prix
- Shooting the Rapids became Canoe Slalom (Kanuslalom)

Where's Water Skiing? There's one left in any case.
I'm gonna add'em both: Water Sports and Water Sports Plus.
And Trivia, of course!

- water sports
- water sports plus
- trivia

 Re: GTW

You might want to add the "missing events" from Ritter fur den Konig.

They were announced in the article that game with the listing. I wrote some background info a while ago.

Thanks Ulysses777, I've just got'em from your previous thread's links wink

I'm now asking tangible evidences about Triple Decker 8 and 9, Wizard Of Wor and Gorf.

Luca...

It's on my list. If nobody beats me (anyone? happy ), I'll scan that page. I know that I have that particular issue somewhere.

 Re: GTW

Hit and Miss is an excellent find. (If you search the forums, looks like it was mentioned once before.) The fact that there's a review about it is confirmation enough for me - which means this is not a GTW, just missing software.

 Re: GTW

I have the Planetfall disk but it is still sealed, so I do not want to open it. @Sidius is you package also still sealed? If not could you make a d64 image?

I have also the missing rainy day disk and some more will do d64 images if I find some time for it

Also still missing is the Quizmix extension disk - mabye somebody has a copy of it.

 Re: GTW

Well, we all hope in an unsealed Planetfall, then wink

Ok, I think I entered all the GTW and the rest, apart of Roland's ratrace and the Triple Decker 8/9, due to lack of tangible evidencies: GTW!

 Re: GTW

About Ritter für den König...

In fact, the program itself is proof enough that more parts were planned. It lets you select "Play all parts", "Play single part", "Train single part". But since there's just one part (Joust) there's no difference between "Play all" and "Play single".
Furthermore, the instructions for Joust are stating "Have fun with this and the other parts".

@Luca & Plus4Vampyre:

Yes, my Planetfall is unsealed...only unfortunately, I've at the moment no possibility to generate an image of the Disk - since I live in my new flat, I've not come yet to look after my Commodore things...
Everything is still packed in move cardboards and yet one single plus/4 is not connected !
Yes, disgrace about me.

 Re: GTW

I just checked Fingers Malone entry. The level messages mention 'Fingers Revenge' and 'Nemesis'. I couldn't find any titles here, do they seem GTW? If they would be the same quality as Icicle Works and Fingers Malone, its a huge loss for our community!

 Re: GTW

A very old thread. happy
Because some of the MB members started to become really active happy herewith I add one GTW, a Viking in America, as seems not listed yet. Looks like an official game was planned for Novotrade, could be an interesting story.

Really, GTW? For what I remember, it would have been a joke, am I right?

 Re: GTW

They had real games released at Novotrade (Dudaorrú Patrik, Oliver Otthona), so maybe some more plans were in place.
You know, we were poor here in the 80s :-), and Novotrade payed the programmers money properly.

I think if it would have been a joke, they would add their alias, and not their real name. Just my 2c.

 Re: GTW

The MOGB series is full of images like this happy They all have their real names, and look like potential game title screens. AFAIK these were never planned to be full releases.
