| Battery 3 Backup Disk | This is one of the two backups for Battery 3, both broken. During "4Ever03" party (2003, Szeged, HU), TLC tried to recover data from both diskettes, but he achieved no success. Then, TCFS had given away the two unlucky diskettes: one had been given to Luca, to symbolically donate it to the whole scene; the other is now in the hands of Nukeman, brotherly friend and scene companion of TCFS for so many years along.

Translation: BATTERY 3 [TCFS] It's been ready for about a month or two, but there's been a f*ck-up, because TCFS' disk got f*cked up and... (it's no joke, he said it personally).

| More Information | From Signals 5:
- TCFS HAS BOUGHT AN AMIGA, BUT HE IS STILL WORKING ON +4. ON THE COPY X-MAS, HE SHOWED HIS 'BATTERY 3.' IT WILL TAKE A COUPLE OF DISKS, BUT IT'S NOT BAD. IT CONTAINS AN 'IBM-EMULATOR' WHICH IS UNDERSTANDING NEARLY ALL MS-DOS COM- MANDS (CD,DIR,...) AND YOU CAN LOAD A MINI-NORTON COMMANDER, TOO !!! WHY NEED PC, WHEN YOU GOT +4?
Csabo's comments: I remember seeing this as well, the Norton Commander clone operated in 80 column mode. I also recall TCFS demonstrating that you could load programs in it (all while in the game!) and execute them. The demo program he showed was a rotating vector object. I remember commenting to TCFS about the look of the letter M and letter H, which - due to the space constraint, each being only 3 pixels wide - looked very similar. He replied that while it's true, the text remains readable. |
