 2012: statistics raise up!

A new year has come, and this little scene, for the nth time, is not dead yet, and this can be referred both to the archiving side and to the new stuff side.
Statistics say that 47 is the quantity of the released stuff this year, and this is a good result that looks like a countertrend compared with 2011 (see the Statistic by Date graph): if you consider years 2003 and 2007 as "doped" due to the releases for the two limiTED competitions, starting from the débâcle year 1999 (17 releases overall!), and discarding both it and those two years, we can accept an average releases value of ca. 43. We can say the trend is the same since a dozen years, in the very end

Years ago, I was used to put in evidence just in this forum all the software which would have still needed to be voted for, till someone had pointed out it was such a childishmessia-ish useless pressure on. Heh, probably you were right, beg your pardon for that. Anyway, I feel the new year could be the chance to follow some coyly suggestions of voting in about some 2012 releases you may have missed: Afro Boxer Meets Peter Pan, BCK-Kedvence, Beast, Botticelli Bilderdisk 37, Deadline, Test Suite V2, Swarmed, Stinky's First, Sabre Wulf, Rebel Planet, Room 309, Part XVIII , LOTR Hobbit Art, Lazur Vs Boris, Essex-Rockon, Escape From Raka-Tua +4, Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep?, Édesanyám.

 Re: 2012: statistics raise up!

Well, since this topic is so popular, I decided to add a few more "fun" facts (gathered from our database using my admin powers):

* Shortest post of 2012: Ati (here - smileys don't count, and there's a few other posts where the author competely erased the original message.)
* Longest post of 2012: C16 Chris (here)
* Most posts in 2012: LanMIK (304 posts)
* Least posts in 2012: It's a 10-way tie (for single posts): Skoro, Murphy, Rachy, indi, Lacoste, Thomas, Byteman, Ninja The Dreams, register, JamesD

 Re: 2012: statistics raise up!

Hi Csabo,

The "fun" facts (shortest, longest etc...) made me jealous!

As far as the longest one is concerned, I feel challenged!!!

I'm about to beat C16 Chris' posting: just wait until my German translation of SVS' manual for SVS-CALC 2.0 is ready!

At this stage, I'm only at chapter No. 4 and I've done already almost 2000 lines!

(To be honest, the lines I'm talking about are Script/Plus lines with only 40 characters each, and not every line is filled with 40 chars.... But, nevertheless... wink wink )

Please don't take this posting too serious - at any rate, I'm really working on the SVS-CALC manual translation, and it's being done entirely in Script/Plus: Plus/4 product literature only with original Plus/4 text tools...)

Good night - bis denne dann - buona notte - jó ejszakát

Hans.

When it comes to complete posts being erased.

Guilty!

One of the posts was for Crock strangely enough... grin

 Re: 2012: statistics raise up!

You could always just put something funny there instead of a blank post, like (redacted by user) or "This post was intentionally left blank". Or possibly "delete-me", in which case someone with delete rights can clear it up.

On you having the most posts last year: good to have you back in full force happy

 Re: 2012: statistics raise up!

@ MIK: MIK, Thank you for the unexpected compliment. But I haven't contributed to the forum very much so far...

I'm, however, working on it! Will try to do more this year.

Cheers,

Hans.
