Description | This compilation of 13 games uses two 64kB eproms, in order to store up to 120kB in total into 4 separate 32kB sub-compilations in one single OpenC16Cart, switching them by changing the A14/A15 jumpers. The package also includes the four single compilations as normal 16kB hi/lo eeproms.
The program for the many selection menus has been originally coded by cbmhardware and first used in Commodore Plus/4 32K Gamebox. It's about 1kB long, and this means (31kB * 4 - 4)=~120kB for the stored games. The original code wasn't able to manage splitted memory, but the improved version used in this release allows to split and load the memory from both hi and lo eproms, making possible to store any program up to 30kB ca.
The source code is available in order to modify it and pack your own compilations in the preferred format, considering games up to 30kB. |
