Castle Matcher 5-Level WIP Demo Released!

Castle MatcherRoePipi just released a preview of his new game called Castle Matcher. Featuring his usual brand of humor, your task is to guide Vivor (a dodo bird) through a castle, and find the exit eksit. Toby the rooster, who is outside the castle, will also be an integral part of solving the puzzles. The final version will have 20 levels, so it's up to you if you want to play it now, or wait for the final version (which might take around half a year). Enjoy!

Re: Castle Matcher 5-Level WIP Demo Released!

I wish there was more feedback on this game - I got to level 4 so far, but only because I didn't have more time to play with it. I hope that's what it is for the rest of the scene; lack of time, not lack of interest, 'cause the game is actually fun!

Unscrewing the door handle, the light switch, the flickering candles, so many nice touches and cute surprises happy

Csabo: Thanks for the introduction words and all the technical stuff!
Luca: I usually turn commons into creations happy Wish I had time.
Lavina: I don't know how my stuff turns into funny stuff, but I enjoy doing it happy

This game is the product of my unfinished childhood.
Status report: Just finished level 6.

This game is rather entertaining! The "usual" out of the box gameplay from RoePipi and hey it requires some thinking as well... cool happy

Re: Castle Matcher 5-Level WIP Demo Released!

Well, a creature with wings kicking stuff to a castle is funny enough for me to define the game as out-of-the-box as Gaia mentioned. happy And being like this, makes it interesting.

Gaia: Thanks! I'm working hard on more puzzle-y levels! grin
Lavina: Yeah, the hardest thing in game making is that you need to remember how exciting it was at first glimpse.

Status report: Just finished level 7.

Together with my kids I tried it today, and I can say it is fantastic. Especially the fluid movement of the dodo bird in fantastic.
My kids like it so much, that they played it through two times, and we even created a wallpaper based on that just for fun.
Enjoy happy

Re: Castle Matcher 5-Level WIP Demo Released!

Fantastic! Just laughed a little at a dodo requiring a screwdriver. Didn't know this is possible with basic. Another basic game with impressive tech..

 Castle Matcher RC Released!

WHEW!
Castle Matcher Release Candidate is finished. It's surely playable from beginning to end. I don't know of any game-breaking bugs, I need candidates to find them happy

Have fun!

This lack of imagination and creativity of mine kills me. I'm stuck already on the fourth level.

What is the enemy Bodd's type? What kind of bird is it? Looks big, but Dodo was already a rather big one.

Please let me know if certain situations isn't bearable in the game – fixing them would be as easy as rewriting some words or numbers.
