I did found MC Demo on one of my old disks, so it might be the one, but I have to check on real hardware how the effect looks like, because I remember the whole thing slanted to the right. This part of of it might not be emulated. |

The cassette version of Dynamix has the exact same (borrowed  ) effect. The one in MC Demo is the original though. |

Interesting, but it wasn't that. I found a reference that one of the intros of Dynamix might have something similar, but can't figure out how to progress to that part to check. |

The first part of MC Demo does this, but it's the "vertical gray bar" that's moved to the middle of the screen. Plus4Emu reproduces the effect. |

The effect is similar. But this was in the 80-s or early 90-s, and it had real content being split into half, maybe it was also slanted to the side.
It was around when A trip came out, I have it anchored to that in my mind. |

I vaguely remember a demo or demo part, which had an effect, which looked like it moved the horizontal retrace area (a particular grey band) into the middle of the screen. Does this ring a bell for anyone, of which demo this was? |
