I WAS BORN ON THE 1ST OF SEPTEMBER 1972,
IN SZEKSZARD,HUNGARY. I LIVED IN
ALSONYEK AND WENT TO THE NURSERY SCHOOL
THERE. IN 1979 WE MOVED TO SZEKSZARD IN
ORDER TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM OF GOING TO
SCHOOL,SINCE THE SCHOOL IN ALSONYEK WAS
CLOSED DOWN IN THE MEANTIME. I WENT TO
THE KECSKES FERENC PRIMARY SCHOOL AND
COMPLETED THE 8 CLASSES IN 1987. THEN I
REGISTERED AT THE ADY ENDRE INDUSTRIAL
SCHOOL 505 ON DECORATOR,PAINTER,
WALLPAPER COVERER BRANCH THAT I DON''T
KNOW HOW,BUT FINISHED SUCCESFULLY! ON 01
MAY 1991 I JOINED THE ARMY,AND WENT TO
THE TRAINING BASE OF SIKLOS. THEN,I WAS
CARRIED ALL OVER THE WESTERN BORDER OF
HUNGARY;I''VE BEEN ALMOST EVERYWHERE THAT
I COULD POSSIBLY BE:CSORNA,BAJANSENYE,
DRAVASZABOLCS,OLD,GYURUSPUSZTA,ILOCSKA,
BARCS,BEREMEND ETC... IN MAY 1992 I WAS
DISARMED AND LEFT THE ARMY,THEN START
WORKING AS A PAINTER ASSISTANT AT A
PAINTER CONTRACTOR. IN 1996 I WENT
WORKING TO A COMMERCIAL STUDIO AS
GRAPHICIAN. SINCE I DIDN''T GET ALONG
WELL WITH MY BOSSES,I CANCELED MY JOB IN
1997. TODAY I STILL WORK AS PAINTER AT A
CONTRACTOR.

I WAS STILL A SCHOOLBOY WHEN ONE OF MY
FRIENDS GOT A C16. WE PLAYED ON IT A
LOT,AND I ALWAYS OBJECTED TO THE QUALITY
OF THE GRAPHICS. WELL,I MUST ADMIT,THERE
SHOULD BEEN A LOT OF REASONS TO WORRY
ABOUT,SINCE THESE GAMES WERE PIONEERS OF
THEIR AGE. THE ANIMATIONS,IF AT ALL,WERE
ALWAYS ROUGH AND SHORT,SOMETIMES IN JUST
FEW CHARACTERS. THIS WAS THE TIME WHEN
WE REALIZED THAT WE''LL SAVE THE WORLD:WE
STARTED WRITING A GAME! I CREATED THE
GRAPHICS BY REDEFINING SOME CHARACTERS,
AND CREATED THE MUSIC IN BASIC,THEN WE
TRIED TO LINK EVERYTHING TOGETHER,WITH
MORE OR LESS SUCCEES:YOU CAN GUESS,IT
DIDN''T WORK WELL! SO I GAVE UP CREATING
GRAPHICS FOR GAMES.
MY PARENTS WERE AGAINST PURCHASING A
COMPUTER FOR ME;OR IF PURCHASING ONE A?
ALL,NOT A C16 OR A +4. I WAS ONLY
ALLOWED TO CHOOSE THE C64,SINCE C64 WAS
SAID THE REAL COMPUTER! LATER I MET WITH
MY CLASSMATE CALLED ZSOLT WAGNER,TEONAKI
OF HIGH WOLTAGE,A LOT OF TIMES. THEY HAD
A LITTLE GROUP CREATING SMALL DEMOS AND
INTROS. I''VE SEEN HIGH QUALITY INTROS
AD DEMOS THERE AT THE FIRST TIME IN MY
LIFE. ONCE I ASKED THEM WHAT THEY USE
FOR CREATING THE GRAPHICS OF THEIR DEMOS
THEY LAUGHED AT ME AND CALLED ME A
LAMMA! MY ADRENALINE GOT HIGH AND ASKED
THEM FOR A COPY OF THE GRAPHICS''PROGRAM;
UNFORTUNATELY,IT WAS QUITE HARD TO
OBTAIN LEGAL SOFTWARE AND OTHER
ACCESSORIES FOR THE COMPUTER THAT TIME,
EVEN TODAY! I WENT QUICKLY HOME AND
STARTED SKINNING ARTSTUDIO V1.2:OH MY
GOD...NOT YOU,LEVENTE...WHAT IT TURNED
OUT TO BE! I SHOW MY GRAPHIC TO THE
FAMILY,WHO IN RETURN HAD A LAUGH AT ME!
BEING AFRAID OF SUCH FAILURES,I HAVEN''T
DONE ANYTHING FOR A WHILE,JUST WATCHED
DEMOS. THEN A FRIEND BROUGHT A RIPPER
PROGRAM TO ME. I RIPPED EVERY POSSIBLE
GRAPHICS WITH IT,AND LEARNED A LOT OF
PIXEL EDITING POSSIBILITIES,VARIATIONS;
OF COURSE,THE RIPPER LACKED THE
POSSIBILITY OF SAVING ALL COLOR INFOS.
THE REAL BREAKTHROUGH CAME IN 1989. I
MET MARTON RUSKO,MCS...MICRO SHIT? FOR
HIS ENCOURAGEMENT I STARTED CREATING
LOGOS. THE FIRST GROUP WAS FINALLY
FORMED THAT I WAS AN IMPORTANT MEMBER
OF. WE ALSO STARTED WRITING DEMOS,AS
MOST BEGGINNER GROUPS DID. WELL,
EVERYBODY SMILED AT OUR CREATIONS,THAT
CONTAINED ONLY A MULTI GRAPHIC DRAWN
WITH ARTSTUDIO PLUS A ROCKING MUSIC,AND,
OF COURSE,THE NEVER MISSED GOOD OLD
SCROLLER-ROLLER! THE GROUP WAS CALLED
"PIRATES". OUR FAVOURITE HOBBY WAS TO
PUT OUR INTROS IN FRONT OF ALREADY
CRACKED GAMES. BY THE TIME,A HUNGARIAN
MAG WAS INTRODUCED,CALLED "576KBYTE",
WHERE LARGE CAPITAL LETTERS ADVERTISED
THEIR COMPETITION;THE DREW LOTS FOR AN
AMIGA 500 TOP-MODEL COMPUTER BETWEEN
PEOPLE CREATING AND SENDING THEM THE
BEST DEMOS. OF COURSE,EVERYBODY GOT A
FEVER BY THIS ADVERTISEMENT,SO WE ALSO
WANTED TO ENTER THIS COMPETITION. WELL,
IT TURN D OUT TO BE NOTHING,SINCE THE
CODER GOT LAZY AND COULD ONLY PRAISE
HIMSELF. THAT TIME I CREATED MY 38TH
PIRATES LOGO,AND THE SERIES OF
DISAPPOINTMENTS STARTED. THE LITTLE
GROUP HAS BROKEN UP. I WANTED TO
CONTINUE TO DRAW GRAPHICS,EVEN IF THE
SITUATION WAS QUITE HOPELESS HERE IN THE
TOWN. ALL CREWS KEPT THEIR SECRETS,THERE
WAS NO WAY FOR A DON''T-KNOW-WHERE-YOU-
CAME-FROM LITTLE BOY TO JOIN.
FEW MONTHS WERE SPENT WITH STAGNATION,
THEN I WAS ASKED TO CREATE A NEW LOGO
FOR THE "TIME TIGERS TEAM". ALL OF THEM
LIKE IT,AND THEY ASKED ME TO BE A THE
GRAPHICIAN OF THE CREW! I GOT SO
DREADFULLY HAPPY BY THIS FANTASTIC NEWS.
THEY BOUGHT SOFTWARE IN SHOPS AND JUST
PUT INTROS IN FRONT OF THEM. I LIVED MY
DAYS THIS WAY,CREATED ABOUT 10 LOGOS AND
20 OTHER EMBLEMS,WHEN I GOT IN TOUCH
WITH A NEW FRIEND:JOZSEF VIRAG,''HELLISH
BOY''. I SLOWLY LEFT THE GROUP AND WE
FORMED "MADS". ALL OUR DOINGS WERE THAT
HE CODED AND I DREW GRAPHICS. NEVER
PUBLISHED OUR DEMOS,INTROS,STILL,THESE
FEW YEARS WHEN WE HAVE THIS GROUP WERE
ONE OF THE NICEST PART IN MY LIFE. BY
THE WAY,HE WAS THE FIRST MAN NEAR ME
BEING CLOSE TO A REAL +4!
SEEMS LIKE EVERYTHING IS A NINE DAYS
WONDER. I JOINED THE ARMY FOR A WHOLE
YEAR,I SPENT IT HARDLY;THEN,WHEN I GOT
BACK,I NOTICED THAT EVERYBODY MOVED ON
PC! LETHARGY... HAS EVERYBODY FORGOTTEN
WHERE HE CAME FROM? BUT NO! THIS WAS THE
FIRST TIME I HEARD ABOUT "CORONERS".
THEY ASKED ME,IF I FEEL LIKE AND I HAD
TIME FOR,COULD I CREATE SOME LOGOS FOR
THEM ON +4!? WELL,IT WAS QUITE STRANGE
THAT A +4 GROUP ASKED A C64 GRAPHICIAN
TO DRAW LOGOS! BUT NOT A PROBLEM:I''LL
SURELY DO GRAPHICS FOR THEM! HERE CAME
THE FIRST SURPRISE THAT MADE MY
IMAGINATION UP! SO FAR IT WAS NOT
SERIOUS IF I CREATED MY LOGOS IN ONE OR
ANOTHER SIZE,BUT HERE THEY SUPPLIED THE
SIZE,THE TEXT,EVEN THAT I CAN OLY USE
THREE COLOURS! YEEEEEEEEEEAH! THAT WAS A
REAL CHALLENGE FOR ME,AND I QUICKLY
JUMPED INTO THE WORK. WHEN DOING SUCH A
WORK,THE DEAR CUSTOMER WAS ALWAYS PUT TO
THE F*CK-LIST BY MY GIRLFRIEND
IMMEDIATELY,SAYING THAT I NEVER CARE FOR
HER. THE LOGO WAS COMPLETED MAYBE JUST
THAT EVENING,AND I WAITED FOR THE ANSWER
OF TLC/CNS ANXIOUSLY! THE LOGO COULD BE
SAID PRETTY WELCOMED. SOME MORE OTHER
ORDERS CAME SOON;FOR EXAMPLE,"LEONARDO",
"BRAINFADE 2" ETC... MY PLAINS COULDN''T
HAVE PUT STOPPED. I JUST WANTED TO DRAW
UNTIL THE END OF THE POWER,OR THE VIDEO
CHIP. THAT BECAME TRUE SOON,
UNFORTUNATELY;SO FAR MY PERFORMANCE IS,
MOSTLY BECAUSE OF OVERHEATH:3 VIC,2 SID,
1 CPU,1 KERNAL ROM,4 RAM CHIP,1 UHF
MODULATOR,4 JOYSTICKS,1 KEYBOARD,3 POWER
SUPPLIES,1 FINAL III CARTRIDGE. ABOUT 40
CORONERS''LOGOS,5 CORONERS PRO LOGOS AND
A LOT OF OTHER,MEANWHILE LOST,GRAPHICS
WERE CRATED DURING THE TIMES. SOME OF
THESE LOGOS WERE WIDER THAN THE SCREEN,
MOST WIDER THAN 160 PIXELS.
THEN CAMES THE OTHER BIG CRASH ON THE
CAREER! IN A LETTER,LEVENTE COMPLAINED
THAT THE HUNGARIAN +4 SCENE IS NOT JUST
LAZY,BUT EVEN DOES NOTHING! SO DO,OR
DON''T DO,THEY. HE ALSO MENTIONS THAT HIS
FACE BURNS BECAUSE SOME OF 1-2 LOGOS
WERE EVER USED. PHEW! I''VE NEVER SEEN,
WHAT''S GOING ON WITH MY LOGOS,BUT I
ALWAYS HOPED THAT THEY GET USED AND THIS
WILL BE GOOD BOTH FOR ME AND THE GROUP;I
NEVER MET THE OTHER MEMBERS OF THE CREW
ANYWAY. A WHOLE WORLD COLLAPSED IN
MYSELF... AFTER THIS, CAMES LUCA,AND I
REALIZED THAT CORONERS IS STILL ALIVE...

THE BEST MOMENT OF MY +4 CAREER WERE AT
A PARTY IN SZEKESFEHERVAR,HUNGARY,IN
1993:A LOT OF PALS CAME THERE AND ASKED
ME TO DRAW A LOGO,OR JUST A PICTURE FOR
THEIR GROUPS;I WORKED ALL NIGHT LONG.
SOMEBODY HAS ALMOST TAKEN A FUNNY
PICTURE FROM ME,BECAUSE AS I WAS DRAWING
WITH THE JOY,I KEPT THE CIGARETTE IN MY
HAND,AD I LOOKED LIKE THE JOYSTICK
EMITTING SMOKE OF OVERHEAT. I FELT THE
BEST THAT TIME... NOBODY BITCHED AT THE
OTHER MACHINES,WE''RE RATHER SMILING AT
EACH OTHER:"LOOK! HE STILL USES THIS
MACHINE!". NOWHERE AROUND THE WORLD WAS
SUCH A ''HOLY WAR'' THAN HERE IN HUNGARY!
EVERYBODY WAS ABOUT TO CATCH EACH
OTHER''S THROAT,IF THE QUESTION WAS ABOUT
WHICH IS THE BEST COMPUTER:C64 OR +4.
