Hello everyone,

I made some experiments with the Speech ROM on all PC based emulators(even disassembled it), but with few luck. Most emulators can handle the ROM itself, but when it comes to a valid Speech command they all fall into an endless loop.
This is because the ROM starts communicating with the 'glue' chip over $FD2x and fails to get an answer...

M.E.S.S. can handle the 'SAY' command by not falling to an endless loop but it doesn't do anything particular, too...
Gets back to BASIC prompt with READY.

My dream is to get this Speech ROM talking in a real 264
and/or emulator and resurrect the never born V364... :-)

Regards,
Attila
