| Let's Play Double Blocks!
We had a Let's Play event in 2021, which was a moderate success. Today's game of the day is Double Blocks, released exactly 31 years ago! So, I figured: Let's Play! All Plus/4 fans (and quiet lurkers) are invited to play a round with this game over the weekend (come on, you have 5 minutes, don't you?) and submit your score to the HOF, no matter the result. Winning isn't the goal (although you can make it to be), participation is.
A few thoughts about the game: It's an interesting Tetris implementation. The digiconverter music through out is neat IMHO. The fact that there's a 0 player mode is also cool Nicely done menu, some 80 column text, keyboard/joystick controls, and obviously the two player mode is fun. The game starts with the message "Welcome to the first TBC-Game !!!", but I guess enthusiasm quickly waned, as TBC only released this one game ever

Thanks, @Csabo. In fact @hitman made some games based on Choose your adventure books but they seem to be lost.

Are there any plans to turn this into a recurring event, or was it a one time thing on a whim?

Nice game, I am ready to join more challanges!
Few comments on the game: -The music playback is pretty advanced, and frankly speaking, I could not image someone could put a working game next to a digi SID playback! Fantastic. -On the other hand I believe this music is one of the causes prevented me to reach higher scores. Sometimes the buttons did not respond at once. How the speed would be with native SID playback? -The other issue is that compared to the logic of the PC game I used: on PC the UP key was the rotation, and the DOWN key was the push down. On this game it is just the contrary. I always had to think which button is rotation. When I was really into the game, I always pressed the up for rotation (reflexes) and the game was over. -During the rotatino the machine seems to pull down the longer forms to fir into the screen, I think it is unecessary

Good idea, count me in! Played some games and entered my score.
Moreover, if you've tested the game, and you liked it, loved it, criticized it hard, hated it, then cast a vote to express your opinion!
I take the chance to also remember the monthly challenge called by @c64mark and his audience, held on their Discord channel, which runs since several months at now. And that's the reason why at the end of any month, I'm used to enter a big bunch of hiscores on one precise game. This month, for example, the game challenge goes on Spore! Clearly, Let's Play is something with far less competition than the former one, Let's Play is much more an excuse to test stuff you could have missed along the years..

@MMS: the real reason why sometimes it's not responsive is when the computer plays the other side it checks from bottom to top where is the best fit for the current piece. It can be reaaal slow when already a lot of rows present. Perhaps today I could optimize the code better, but back then I was happy with it. I'm not sure if anyone would be interested in a two-player tetris clone today. But for single player Tetris 2K21 is waay better. About the controls: I haven't really played Tetris on other platforms and for me it seemed better to have the rotation between the left and right moves so you have to move your finger upwards for drop only. It should have been consistent with the joystick controls. Sorry.

@siz: no need to say sorry, it is a great piece of code fluidly realized a nice two player Tetris on Plus/4 Thank you! I just put my comments, if you will possibly make the next version, you may implement like this or put rotation left/right to A and D maybe I am just going to go give a high score to the game I really enjoyed playing with it.
Two player Tetris would be a great fun at the next Arok ( as we always play Wizard of WOR. Next year I plan to win it :-D ) But we as Plussy fans can do our own game compo with Tetris. Just saying... Because we are the higher class LOL (Tetris > WOW)
