Raid over Moscow - oh my god

Thank you ever so much for taking the time to convert such a classic C64 game to the Plus/4. I am excited to have a go later. Looks amazing and some of the recent projects you guys have done have totally blown me away.

Amazing!

Great job! I would play this cold-war classic with a friend on C64.
I wish that Commodore had released C116 and C16 with 64kB memory and hadn't fragment the market.
This shows that the lack of sprites was not a limitation.

Kudos to @TCFS and the whole team!

Re: Raid over Moscow - oh my god

@raze everything you need to know is in the description on the related page Raid Over Moscow.

Briefly: your 9 pilots are located in the orbital station ready to react against the missiles, which will be launched from 4 Russian bases one by one. You can enter the hangar's screen pressing SPACE from the conflict's map and attempt to get out with how many pilots you want to keep ready for the missions (but remember: after you've destroyed a launch site, they could eventually re-enter the station!). Press HELP in the hangar to open the door when your ship has reached as minimum the 8 meters of altitude.

Other keys: Run/Stop, pause the game; Esc (keep it for 2 secs), quit the game.

Looking at these ports, it's so nice to see that TCFS didn't forget how to write a game, in fact, it's getting better! Great Work.

Luca, sorry man but I was unable to find any hint about keys or joystick to use in the game's page.

MIK, thank you, that helped a lot!

...btw, this launch site is quite funny (or sad) to see, nowdays:

Just played another round, 28850. With a bit more practice I'm sure I can do better.

Can you? wink

Seen on twitter

"I didn't have a Joy adapter. Instead patched the code to use the Plus/4's excellent cursor keys instead of the joystick."

Someone should inform the author of the article linked by Csabo that using VICE is not recommended. The author should encourage using plus4emu instead.

What a fantastic article, it shines of all the youthness we share despite where we lived.
