 Rare games

Check this polish page out: linkety-link! This fellow seems to have Summer Events on disk (looks like "Sommer Olympiade", a german language version?)

Some interesting casettes too:

Favourite 4 - a compilation release from Anirog (added to database). Take a look at the newly created compilation category, this was long overdue. We can categorize all games tape or disks releases that contain more than one game here.

Berks Trilogy - you can make out the CRL logo on the front, and the games: Berks, Major Blink, Berks 3. I didn't know they released them together too!

The fellow also has a Legionnaire cover that we don't (scan it Lando, I know you have it wink), but the most interesting to me among the tapes was that Kingsoft release (second row, take a look you'll know what I'm talking about). What is that? Space Pilot? We have a different cover for that game...

I emailed him, hopefully he speaks English and will reply.

Compilation category is a good idea, fancy adding another one? wink http://plus4world.com/udo/tomthumb.htm

If I had all the time in the world I would of scanned all my games by now Alot of work awaits. I've just added the released year for the Berks Trilogy wink Berks is on the self aswell...
Baby Berks here 2, but although CRL have their name on the inside cover a company called "Alpha-Omega Software" 1986 have the copyright.

Yeah looks like Space Pilot to me aswell from the text. Sure I would imagine Kingsoft is printed all over it happy If you take a look at Space Pilot I slyed the other cover in for good measure the other day wink Legionnaire is another Kingsoft release I knew about, and also if you load my TAP (anco's release) the turbo will show copy right Kingsoft or something like that. I knew about Summer and Winter Events having Kingsoft home land releases. Thats whats called me for Summer Events Anco disc, has to be very, very rare.

The mission goes on and we have alot of work to do happy

 Re: New Compilation

Oh man, I just got what you meant by saying 'fancy adding another one'. Five Star Games, right? Of course I will add it (by the time you read this it should be in the database).

I did a bunch of google searches, and a few more compilation names came up, I just don't have enough info to add them. Who knows something about these:

- Triple Deckers
- C16 Classics
- Computer Hits 1-2?

- Triple Deckers, there are a number of these, think I only have 1 or 2. All have a number of games on them.

eg.( Triple Decker - Robin to the Resuce ), 1987 it has Robin to the Resuce, Cruncher and Alien Attack. This and all the rest of the Triple Deckers were released by Alternative Software Limited. I can find out more some other time. Even Trailblazer made it on to one of these, not sure which at this time.

C16 Classics I don't have, Gremilin release. I think Dorks Dilemma and Tycoon Tex were 2 of the 4 titles. Sure I could find out more..

C16 Classics 2 (1985): Released by Gremlin Graphics again, four games. Monkey Magic and Timeslip are now copyright to Gremlin, Xargon's revenge again Gremlin and last of all Blagger which is still copyright to Alligata Sortware Limited.

C16 Classics 3 (1986): Reach for the Sky, Sword of Destiny, Gullwing Falcon and Jetbrix, and on the inside cover its here they state Avenger for C16/Plus4!

I don't have Computer Hits 1 and 2....

Computer Hits 3 (1986): Invasion 2000 AD (Solar Software), Skramble (Alligata), Death Race 16 (Atlantis), Galaxions (Solar Software), Circus (Adventuresoft), Space Pilot (Anco), Robin to the Rescue (Solar Software), Psychedelia (llamasoft), Space Freaks (Solar Software) and World Cup (Artic). This Compilation was released by Beau Jolly.

Computer Hits 4 (1987): Lazerzone (Ariolasoft) Dirty Den (Probe), Demolition (Anco), Berks (CRL), Autozone (Players), Hyperforce (Ariolasoft), Berks 2 - Major Blink (CRL), Timeslip (English), Atlantis (Anco), Tazz (Bubblebus), Starburst (Ariolasoft), abd Berks 3 - They're Angry! (CRL). This Compilation was released by Beau Jolly.

 Re: Avenger

You should scan that C16 Classics 3 cover. I'd like to see that Avenger reference. Also in a previous topic Luca pointed out a ZZap issue that mentions this game as well. I can't seem to find that issue... Does anyone have it, or have a link?

I do have this issue happy But I have borrowed these images from Mort's Zzap 64 scans CD, which I swaped for a load of C16/Plus4 games

The next 2 pages is where your be looking for C16/Plus4. 1st page Top right:

Avenger
C16 +4 CBM64/128
MSX Specturm 48k
Amstrad
£9.95

Slapped between the 2 pages at the bottom are a list of games, see if you can spot another game no one has...

Bounder
C16 +4
£6.95
Available November

Way of the Tiger
C16 +4
£9.95
Available November

Thing on a Spring
C16 +4
£6.95

And i'll also have to redo Thai Boxing from Anco.. Commodore Plus4 version of the 1986 c64 release! Again, no one has it and there was no mention of C16 in the advert so it can't be the old Anirog one.

 ..Elite's?

And what about pages 18 and 19 of the same 20th issues, regarding Elite's Space harrier and 1942 C16?

 Re: 18 & 19

What about them? Lando posted those as well, did you see those at the beginning of his post?

They do mention 1942 and Space Harrier. 1942 is marked as C16 on the official Elite website, but Space Harrier isn't. Check here.

Okay, here's a theory. Those ads were created by some ad company who didn't have a clue about the actual computers. That's why there are two lines listed as "Commodore". That must mean the C64, right? But who would make that kind of mistake(?) if they know the computers even just a little bit? So it could be something like a 'typo'. And on the current official Elite site, they based their information on this ad (could be, maybe they don't have the old records).

Well, that's just a theory. I would be happier if it turned up somewhere... Has anyone contacted the Elite guys?

What I should do though (or one of you anyway) is add two new records, one for Space Harrier the other for Avenger. If we have 1942 listed, we can list those two as well and collect all known info there.
