Pac-Pac! Assassins crew brightens up our summer with their brand new just-released game called Pac-Pac. It's a Pac Man clone, coded by game developer veteran Skoro. Guide your dot-eating hero through 64 different screens. Smooth gameplay, beautiful colours and overall attention to detail: it's a fun game that's totally worth checking out and playing! Be sure to check out the YouTube video as well.
Re: Pac-Pac! Terribly addictive game Skoro and KiCHY! It could seriously weaken the programmers in the last useful days for CD5! And now I pass the staff to a piece of Plus/4 history, just after me, he seemed to enjoy Pac-Pac a lot too
Re: Pac-Pac! 64 different mazes in random order. On later rooms, the enemies are faster. The game ends when all the 64 rooms are cleared. So, 64 mazes, 64 levels.
Re: Pac-Pac! Next time a code system, or own profile with save function will be great (and a lot of continues) I'm just "csicska gyász" to accomplish the game ever
Re: Pac-Pac! I have just noticed this game. It's really cool, great game play, sprite engine and music. Question on youtube: 'Super gemacht, das ist doch TED-Sound ?' . Csabo you are a wizard.
Re: Pac-Pac! Thanks guys for the kind comments about the music. I guess it did turn out pretty well.
The origins might be amusing: Skoro approached me to write a tune that "sounds pleasant and fits in X memory range". That was about the extent of his request I haven't seen the game until it was ready, but it seems to fit surprisingly well. Once I've seen it though, I quickly adjusted both sound effects he asked for - since they are so frequently heard, they had to be in harmony with the tune.
I really like the game myself as well, it's fun to play! My request to all of you guys is that if you haven't submitted a high score yet, please do so! It really doesn't take much, and it doesn't really matter what your score is. Having lots of scores is fun, I'm sure it will spur some competition (even if you only compete against yourself, to beat your own highest score), and I think it's rewarding for the author's to see.
Re: Pac-Pac! Google translated did a pretty decent job, nice review!
I changed one thing on the HOF page: the "most scores submitted" is counted by sub-games now. This makes Kikstart as the most "popular" game, but Pac-Pac is now a close second, with 9 scores submitted. The competition is heating up
Re: Pac-Pac! What a great game. Love the smooth scrolling graphics and sound.
Only suggestion on any updates that might happen would be to have the Pac-man be able to continue to move in the direction that you last moved the joystick. Holding the joystick in each direction to move sure hurts my old wrists after a while.
Re: Pac-Pac! An update to my post above: "Game with most scores submitted: Pac-Pac (11)" -- Pac-Pac is now the game in our High Scores table with the most submissions
