|  YAPE 1.0.6 out
In what is probably the shortest interval between new releases in years, YAPE 1.0.6 was published a couple of days ago. While 1.0.5 has become the Windows Vista of YAPE, this new release hopefully becomes its Windows 7. Here is the full lowdown:
- direction controllers (D-PAD or 'POV' buttons) can now, too, be used as joystick
- fullscreen mode made ALT+TAB friendly
- occasional crashes on some machines with small border mode on
- assembler bug in 64 bit build ironed out (thanks to Luca for pointing it out)
- minor fixes

I fought against my antivirus because it claimed to have found dunno which virus into yape.exe (and none into yapewin64.exe!).

Just click the little box that says ignore. Microsoft Windows is the virus.

The Win32 build is compressed with UPX, some virus scanners are allergic to it. It's in the build script I am using but can be taken out it does not really matter (the previous release was compiled directly and not with this script hence there should be no warning).

I hate the virus issues myself.
Why not:
- redo the whole thing for Linux or even more exotic BS like BSD, or OS/2, or else ? - No virus problems there....
- or give it away no longer by public download but only after personal approach to the author and
download from an author's certified source ?
Might be an idea.
On the other hand: what would be the prospective number of people interested in?

An old issue I'd never understood: if you enter the Yape's monitor and write into, e.g., $FF15 and $FF16 at one time, typing for example:
>FF15 12 34
then you get those weird graphic bug at the beginning of every location in the video matrix?
