Re: Chris archived Astralog Four Pack...

@Luca Regrettably no hidden instructions behind the cover in the clamshell case. When I get chance I’ll check my loose documentation.

And yes I’ll take a photo of the cassette

Oh @Chris beware, several Italian pirate releases in clamshell package, hide leaflets between clamshell and cover! Give a try to this too.

@Csabo: argh, it *must* be a leaflet inside, just as seen on Retrocollector :/ That's why I had to add a WANTED tag in the notes. The hunt continues!

Indeed, adding that as a main menu option - and they not providing ANY info is weird/dumb; but apparently the worst part is, Chris said there was NO instructions in the cassette happy

Those "reviews" in the catalog are hilarious:

"A wickedly addictive game full marks to astralog for this superb game"

"A superb game full of action This game is very fast and has wicked graphics"

Can you glean any info from these? happy The typos in it are insane too, e.g. in the above, they mis-typed the name of their own company. My guess is that a young kid was behind Astralog. I mean, they literally offer that if you send them your own cassette, you get 0.50 off the price of the games happy

Re: Chris archived Astralog Four Pack...

I think both of these are pretty rare, since no one else appears to own a copy.

Anyway, a few things about these games... First of all, the expression "a face only a mother could love" comes to mind grin

From the Four Pack, we were missing Cave Hunt. The cover says 255 levels... But it looks like the game only has one (barely). Oh well, now it's archived.

What's more interesting (for me) is that on Side B of the Four Pack, there's a catalog, which lists a TON of games! Has anyone seen these, or remember seeing them for sale?

Hit & Miss was another piece of software missing from our archives for a long time. Take a minute, look at the cover and read those bombastic claims... Only to find that it's basically just a mastermind game happy There's a dedicated Plus/4 version, but from what I can tell, the only difference is, that one has a few more messages (probably intended to be cheeky or humorous) when you complete levels.

Big thanks for Chris for these happy
