 Ati,

I see it was the normal tap format thats worked for 3D Time Trek. Thats cool.

Man we are missing Out on a Limb, from the same year 1985 and would of used the nasty turbo. Wish I had a copy I don't know about Minipedes or Star Commander because I never saw them, but sure they would be 1985...
Well this is intresting, in Your Commdore December 1984 second to last page Anirog did a full page advert for C64 and Vic20 (At last 1 tape 2 machines). All the games shown were made for C16/Plus4 (a year later) bar 1 which is called KONG. Now did KONG make it our way I wonder??? Heres a list of the games shown, Miniped, Las Vegas, Tom Thumb, Flight Path 737, Bongo, 3D Time Trek, Kong and Skramble.

Of the top of my head I think thats all Anirog games I have covered. I think Classic Snooker C16 has a different funny turbo, the plus4 side of the tape is cut short so were are stuffered there

 -> Lando

I think you misunderstood me. I made the TAP out of your recent dumps!!! I did check the old one laying on my hard drive but that turned out to be much worse than those that you've just made!

Are there any more of those kind of nasty turbo's laying around? I've made a program that can sort of recover those TAPs even if they won't load on a real machine.

 Yo!!

happy Did'nt I say part of the code was above $1001 and I still never got it to load on my Plus4 Well after Zodiac, you could only guess they would try anything to stop you making a good crack wink

Ati, 1.5 years ago sounds like time when I sent you a duff tap wink As promised was the info, sorry for the delay. I can't remember but I'm sure Tom (my version) never had this problem.. And thinking about it I'm sure Flight Path 737, Moon Buggy, Zodiac and Las Vegas all use the same type of turbo and worked first time. Yeah the Time Trek tape is bad, side 2 did'nt looks so good when tap'ing it and its original having the Anirog logo on the tape reel it self. Well I'll leave the duff tap download up for a little while longer, if you get a moment take a look to see if these are cleaner.. I would of used a different 1531 18months ago as I lost that one to Winter Events or Terra Nova, can't remember wink

Glad to hear the game is running correct at last happy I'll leave you and Csabo to it and fingers crossed you get a C16 prg out of it . Cheers!

 Re: Working PRG

Sure, that's important to me too. It's up now (exomized). Both PUCrunch and Exomizer does an extremely good job (e.g. won't use extra memory, only what's needed), but Exo usually compresses better. Tested it with YAPE, runs well in C16 mode.

Download the PRG version from here.

 Re: Working PRG

Could it be possible to make a PRG of it that still runs on a 16kb machine? Maybe with PuCrunch.... I wanted to do the same for Zodiac but then I was just too lazy wink

 Re: 3D Time Trek

You are right. Load the game, run/stop + reset, then D1136... It uses a routine at $0200. That's one of the areas that doesn't even survive run/stop + reset. Everyone probably just saved the game from $1000 + up. (And it seems to work, too wink) Also, the fact that the game starts with G1000 is just a coincidence, the loader jumps to $1002.

 Working PRG

Yeah, I can only recall Zodiac of which for long also no clean crack had existed. It seems that part of the code is placed below the BASIC start area...

These Anirog turbo's are by the way rather nasty! They use illegal opcodes, and some sort of encryption! Of course it's no problem cracking them in the era of emulators, but still in those days....

 Re: 3D Time Trek

I got the file, thanks Ati! It is in fact working fine when you jump to a new quadrant. Is this really the first good version? Wow... I will make a PRG out of it soon.

 Succeeded!

I've managed to hack a working TAP out of it, similarly to the way I've done it with Tom C16 and Atlantis. I've found a non-working TAP already on my PC from 1.5 years ago!

The TAP file is rather "dirty" though (the pulse width is rather instable). Anyway, I tried it with all three emu's that support the TAP format. It loaded back properly with Artifex and Yape but gave a ?BREAK ERROR in VICE.... Nevertheless, I think it could be put up on the site., I've already sent it to Csabo!

Cheers mate!

Attila - None working 3D Time Trek taps made.

I have made 4, 2 half wav each side and 2 normal each side.

3dthw1 and 2 are the hallf wav's.
3dttn1 and 2 are the normal.

best of luck!
