| Description | Although this appears to be a game, it not. At best this is a very limited tech demo. The game consists of a single room, of which there is no way out. There's no code to draw any levels, keep track of lives or score.
Only two keys are checked (left/right), and the rudimentary "sprite" can only move in a limited 256 pixel wide area. Enter the following in the emulator monitor to remove the range checking: >11B4 EA EA >11D2 EA EA You can see that the sprite "wraps around" the screen.
What makes this release so disappointing is Tarzan's Hungarian intro text. This talks about Gordian Tomb being the best and hardest game of the year, and prizes being awarded to anyone who can prove that they finished the game. This, of course, is impossible. This was likely intended to be a "joke".
The sprites for climbing up/down exist, but they are never used. Enter the following to see them: T 8000 9000 2000 |
