Unused Graphics
Many memory areas in 3D Quasars'code seems to had been abruptly cleared. Moreover, there are some bits of unused graphics, and even the UFOs actually moving in the game have another animation frame, in order to better move around the screen, which had been left unused. Lastly, a zoom-animated bigger UFO looks like it has would be a final boss (first byte has needed to be fixed).
The overall feeling is that this game has been "downgraded" in some way.

The known UFO plus unseen others.
