| Linecrunch | Glossary/Demos
Linecrunch (or Linecrunching) allows to scroll a bitmap larger than one screen vertically without having to move all the bitmap data manually. It is sometimes called DMA-delay too, mostly where the screen scrolls to the bottom of the area, whereas the term "line crunching" is used when some scanlines "disappear", making the screen move to the top. The trick is based on delay or jump a scanline when a badline occurs.
