Subject: Hi everybody
Hiya,

Well my name is Tibor, some of you might know me as Crown, now member of the GOTU team.
Greets to everybody reading this list!

To all emulator writers: keep up the good work, and don't hesitate to ask for technical help. :)
It would be a cool feature, if it would be detectable, that the program is running on an emulator, and not on the real thing.
Why? Surely, because of the lack of true 1541 emulation in the current emus, and later it's still a good feature, as a program could detect the presence of the emulator, and could use the standard kernel ways to communicate with the 1541, if it's running on an emulator.
This would be simply faster, than the true 1541 emulation.
So somekind of an emulator identificator string would be cool,
at the address space - in the ROM space. Beware if ROM is turned off this area is accessable as RAM, and is not part of the TED!
Normally this area contains zero in the ROM. Of course this feature should be switchable on and off. (Well if we doesn't want this feature switchable, then I simply have to modify the ROM images... cool.. and easy...
solved half...)

Levente: don't bother sending 'Leaper' to Charles, I already sent it.
Hey, I got a crippled letter from you some months ago. It was totally unreadable, I responded, but nothing came back. Did you got that letter?
(Usa.net does not works always well...)

Zsolt: I couldn't crash-test :) your emulator yet, as my monitor doesn't likes 400x300, and 320x200 just sucks. Could you put support for lets say 512x384 into the emulator? It would be great. (It should cost you around 5-10 minutes to implement the support for this resolution so please do it for me. Thanks...)
I'd just like to see how much is emulated at the moment. :)

Lion: Is this list archived in some way? I guess that would be nice.

Well, I'm nearly finished our game's demo for E3, so I will have some more time for the Plus4. I plan to write some articles about the inside workings of the Plus4. Some preliminary infos are already circulating
(detailed cycle mappings), some of you got that already either from me or from Lion, and if I'm right Lion will post that info to this list soon.

Gtx,

Tibor Biczo / Crown of GOTU
