Oh, well...
Actually, I have difficulties in order to contact Mike, donno why, probably he's busy...
I had a little stop 'cause I'd to graduate, and now, as Supramolecolar Physics Chemist and researcher in Florence University, I reached a calm time.
Sprites and pickups are animated and ready, lemme convert them as animated gifs;btw, the ship, one enemy, all the pickups and the sprites'explosion should be enough in order to code a working demo. So, now it's Mike's turn.
Waiting for these, I suggest everybody to download the fantastic SidPlay2, a new player released few days ago, that features the real, perfect, c64
emulation via soft:

With this fantastic piece of code, the peruvian pipe I put in the 2nd level's music of XeO3 sounds exact on PC too!
