Hi,

try to use XE1541 cable. Or you should use X1541
in pure DOS mode, windows does not allow perfect I/O timing in DOS window.

Some secondary LPT cards have special DOS drivers to set them under DOS. You have to config them in the config.sys file. 'Readme' contains the available settings.

The SPP setting is correct, the other LPT modes are valid for chained devices, e.g. printer with scanner.
