Nope, he waits for line 258, and modifies it to 260, thus skipping the start of line 260, and this is the event which ends the Vertical Equalize phase. So the part in the TED which does what he has to do in this Equalize phase (whatever it is) doesn't turns off as it should, and it keeps doing its job.
Actually the retrace sygnal is being killed by this effect, and on my VCR I got only a Blue screen (That means that the VCR doesn't accept it as a valid video sygnal), so I had to connect the Plus4
directly to the monitor, so there is a high chance that this doesn't works on all TV sets, (mostly newer digital ones will not accept it.), and with this the screen was still teared.
BTW try to modify the first wait value from 2 to 0. That is also an interesting effect.
