About Street Games | (Paraphrased from a 2021 email interview.)
About Street Games After I bought a VIC20 when they first appeared, I more-or-less taught myself to program it in BASIC. I wrote programs for my young children to play. Then I stumbled on the idea of putting 10 or more programs on a cassette tape and selling them by mail order. I called my company STREET GAMES as a play on my surname.
This became a profitable sideline for me and I expanded to cover C64, C16/+4 and finally PC's.
The advent of Public Domain software and an opportunity to get into writing Hospital software caused me to close STREET GAMES down.
About authorship Sometimes young customers wrote games (of varying quality) and submitted them to me for distribution. "J du Toit" was such a person. On the other hand, I have never heard of Adrian Streeter. |
