 Game Genre

The 2005 Minigame Compo is on, there, it's announced, I'm about the only one who needs to know anyway wink However, for all you gamers out there... Let's go through this again. What would be a good genre to write? I know that adventures are not too popular. Neither are RPGs. The are soo many possibilities! So let's hear those ideas.

How about an updated Quadrillion aka Quadrillion 2005. Man you won in my book last year!! happy

Off the top of my head I like the idea of a Golf game but with 4K to play with I think thats out of the question.
Imagine an on screen a message of "Please wait Rendering", while the +4 calculates where to draw the 3D looking course. From 4k you would say WOW!! lol happy

It would take some serious maths knowledge to even start doing a golf game I would of thought, even if you had 64k to play with!!

I would like an invaders clone with a lot of "specials" (surprising ennemies, ships, bonus', etc.) happy

 Re: Game Genre

sort of but technically better which can't be done in 4k. wink

I have a mobi phone golf game which is 64k, ok it may be using more memeory than 64k as it could be commpressed but it had me going wow. It was all there with a 3D landscape which has hills and stuff. 18 holes, a shop where you could by clubs, ball and skill power points, challenegs and a tournament playing with different characters and these guys have a face... Sure a mobi phone is totally different because I would imagine you only need to tell any screen pixel to do what ever you wanted saving alot of memeory but its amazing how much was put into the game with so little to play with.

Theres a lack of good racing games on our machine... the closest I can think of is F1 Simulator... maybe a decent racing game (might be asking a bit much for 4k wink )
