 Commodore 16/+4 Publicity

Has anyone ever thought about creating a banner exchange program for the commodore 16/+4 community? Rather than just providing links to each others sites. It seems a great idea to bring all our websites closer together. Any thoughts?

Oh btw I managed to finish the new design of my site, think it looks alot better happy

Are they many people going to the Classic Gaming Expo UK event in July?

 Re: Commodore 16/+4 Publicity

It's an idea we talked about many years ago but didn't happen for some odd reason...??

We have one on our index page, well that could be used although I'm not sure if Csabo knows how to display radom images with their links as I dont either. Plus we have 1000's of pages and could take ages to add a new feature which may look spammy????

As always the C16/Plus4 scene of web sites all respect each other if and where. A real close family so if we can we point people in the right direction to get as much coverage around the sites as we can. If your doing a large update thats unique let me know in your own words what you want to say and we'll add the news here. But remember unique news, twice amonth.... so that way we have time to fit in our own things without swapping and pushing other tocpics out of the way.

Your site is looking good, but I'm not keen of the degarded jpg images. Try resizing and save as GIF if displaying a C16/Plus4 grab and only save each file with the number of colours being used. Your find the images maybe even smaller than jpg and things will look sweeter.

 Re: Commodore 16/+4 Publicity

I went to the Commodore 16+4 site a couple of days ago and I like how it's shaping up, but I found that the game review form didn't work properly. That's a shame, as I was about to post my thesis on Formula 1 Simulator. Ah well..

Hiya,

I've checked the post a review form and it seems to be working fine. If you want to email the review, please feel free to do so. The email address is support@commodore16.com . Thanks for your kind words about the site, always appreciated. I'm starting a new project aswell, with all the remakes being made I thought I'd put my programming skills to use and create one myself. Just one problem though, I'm stuck for choice, any thoughts on what game I should remake?

 Re: Remakes

I don't think it's a good sign if you have to ask. For a project to really come out great, you have to WANT to do it for itself wink But here's a suggestion anyway: look at the TOP 10 games (here on the site of course), and see which one doesn't have a remake yet.

Well I have one in my mind its Out on a limb, can't find any reference to a remake anywhere on the web. A C16 game would be interesting but I think I'll with a remake first.
