Multicolor DFli editr: FED v1.5pre is here!

Hi folks!

Dowload this and pixel or die!

http://bubis.resource.cx/plus4/dcd/FED15pre.zip

What is this: This is a simple DOS pixeling tool by DCD/WLS for the mcfli mode.
What is this mode: It is based on the simple multicolor mode but you can change ff15-16 in every line and color1-2 not in every 8x8 block (character) but every 8x2 block. (double badlines are generated in every second line.)
Selfviewer executable generator, the viewer source code and sample pictures are included.

Great work, now I just need the time, patience and talent to use it winkwink

But how about adding mouse support and porting it to a more recent OS? If it is written in C you could use libsdl to port it in a few hours.

I am referring to porting it to Windows of course, although libsdl is basically platform independent.

I think there are bindings in SDL for Pascal, too.

Pascal? Yeah I anticipated something like that - there are very few reasons to use DOS happy But maybe he could use delphi to port it..

fed 1.5 is just a bugfixed version of fed 1.0, which is more than 8(!) years old. it was optimized to pc's of that age (i had a cyrix 100Mhz at that time), therefore the pascal source if full of direct video memory access (mem[$a000:0] := $00; etc), and inline assembly. so, it's nearly impossible to port, or at least it were much easier to write a completely new one for sdl/directx/etc.

on the another hand, i don't see, why should it be any better to have a win32 binary.

so shut up, and start pixeling winkwinkwink
