The 3 large bitmaps KiCHY provided for development fit together pretty seamlessly. However, due to the flip-screen nature of the game, the screens - that otherwise have a beautiful, organic look - have a harsh cut-off. I thought... "I could use some of the existing assets to round out the rough edges (so to speak)". I started adding a few rocks to the cave system. I showed it to KiCHY, who (to my absolute delight) took on the project! After more than a week of pixeling, he created something truly special. A picture is worth a thousand words, so take a look at these nicely rounded cave rocks: (Funny enough, the small red rocks became KiCHY's bane He said it was truly arduous work to add them all.) Or even more drastic, look at the absolutely insane difference of a "filled out" city: At 7000 x 2400 pixels, it's certainly one of the largest maps ever, but beyond that, I consider it to be one of the largest Plus/4 pieces of pixel art. What an undisputable beauty it is. And finally I can see what's beyond the colourcoded pillows that can't be removed. I really like this expanded map, it's a shame that you can't explore the extra locations in the game.
