The answer is simple and everytime is the same: my sprite emulation routine needs 8K on Plus/4 for buffers. Everytime I have less amount of memory compared to C64 version. Thus, I have to sacrifice lot of things/features/gfx/music, etc. In Outrun, the weather effects and the road block objects (barriers, wooden logs) are not included due to lack of memory.
"Have you ever thought to make a version where you can switch off the music and bring in cool soundeffects like carengine, turbo sound, tires etc...? That's what i personally am interested in a racing game."
The answer is simple :) . No. Memory. Left. For. Anything :D :D
