@George Yes, porting a game from a more advanced hardware is always a series of decisions: what should go and what should remain. And the memory is the biggest limiting factor, because emulating the hardware sprites requires 8k buffer area which cannot be used for anything else. This is the reason why some gameplay elements are missing, for example the weather, the road blocks, etc.
