So let me briefly collect what we know about it: as we saw when we did some tests on our machines, sometimes the TED chip got defected in a sort of "silent mode" which doesn't directly compromise the right working of the joystick handling, but badly deals with the usual joystick's control code. This can statistically happen... Well, for 10% of the machines,, maybe?
Apparently, Csabo added a fix both into this and into Tetris 2K21, and this means that the problem is real and the chance to find a so called broken latch's TED is somewhat tangible.
