 Re: Let's Play (2021 #3)

@Luca
I used the Anco tape release.
My guess, of all the flags the Union Jack was a pain the butt as it may of required 3 colors where the diagonal lines meet the large red cross. The first loading screen showing all the flags may of had a blue background screen to fill in the gaps of the UJ flag, but here on the results screen the background screen color might be black by mistake and may of been missed during testing. And strange the results screen for Biathlon is red!

@Csabo Congrats on your new time!!! grin
As for hitting the targets on Biathlon... It might be slightly easier to hit them on a real machine and a CRT than emulation but if it helps. Try and use the top and bottom lines of the panel the targets are placed in as a guide to when to press fire. Like press fire the moment the middle of the sight is on the panel line, and adjust your timing if it misses from there. Sit as close to the screen as possible to get ninja focus on the target area.

Ski Jump:
I don't think any of us know how to play it properly..., we sort of have an idea and hope it's a good one. wink

Think of the directions on a joystick as a clock face. Left = 9 O'clock, Up = 12 O'clock, Right = 3 O'clock and Down = 6 O'clock.

As you go down the slop press Fire and Hold Left (9 O'lock) on the stick.
On the next screen the guy should be level to his skies. If you slowly rotate the stick from 9 O'clock down to 8 O'clock and slowly rotate it up to 10 O'clock going back to 9 O'clock and repeat slowly it helps keep the skier level for longer. Imagine there is a strong wind and your trying to fight it, trying to keep a balance.
Even for the longest of jumps like 315 which I have done in the past the skier will sit down and may even cross his skies during flight so there is no escape from this happening!!
When he sits down or he crossed his skies during flight pull the stick down to 6 O'clock and "slowly" rotate the stick anticlockwise back round to 9 O'clock. What you may find is that the skier will fight you and not comply so you have to rotate clockwise just a little while watching the animation to see what he does to then continue going anticlockwise back to 9 O'clock to get him to settle back down. He may try to sit down or cross his skies during flight a number of times, only with lots and lots of practice and getting a better feel for it will he sit down once or twice during play. The more you get a feel for it the less likely he will cross his skies. Sorry if this sounds like had work, sadly it is and will feel like trying to ride a bike for the first time until you get the hang of it.
If at any point you think the skier is being more difficult than normal when trying to settle him back down, pull the stick back down to 6 O'clock and try rotating anticlockwise to 9 O'clock slowly again - as if to reset the skier.

Once the landing phase happens I try to keep the guy in the flight position for as long as possible lol. At the point you think it's time to land use Left & Right to get the skier to stand up. You are better off having the skier just ever so slightly forward in the upright position to guarantee a perfect landing. If he is ever so slight back in the upright position you will crash.

BOBSLED:
To start tap forwards/UP and keep tapping forwards/Up quickly until you reach the first corner. This will give you lots of speed! happy
If a corner goes around left then pull the joystick Left towards the centre of the track, if the corner goes right pull Right. If you are very low on a corner it is possible to correct your line to go higher, very quickly let go of the controls and press in the same direction you were again - the faster you are the harder it is to correct your line - and you to have to be quick to correct your self, proper quick on the controls.

The higher you are on the corners the faster you will be and the quicker your times will become. However, the faster you go the quicker your reaction times will need to be. As you get to the last 6 or so corners on a fast run they become lightning fast!!! Only the brave will get good times. wink

GOOD LUCK!
