I see, thank you Rüdiger for your reply. I bought my C116 stuff from Germany in fact  . Incredible to see how limited was the market for this computer. Still can't figure out why the regressed to Spectrum keys 8/.
Three questions more for you, or anybody with more knowledge than me:
1) Is there any quick way to automatically translate the manual from the original PDF? Online services or freely downloadable software/apps? Ideally, I'd like to have a copy of it in English, preserving the page layout, pictures etc (long shot, I know).
2) My C116 is missing some chips. I have just received it, so I still haven't tried my C16 or my Plus/4 chips to see if it works. I'm talking specifically about CPU, TED, and kernal. Would it be OK to use the C16 or Plus/4 counterparts? Apparently, MOS codes are exactly the same as required by the C116. Or are there some machine-specific chips required?
3) Is the regular 9V PSU of the C16 ok also for the 116?
