TLC I'm now in a hurry and can't elaboate the whole post you've written (will do later) but yes I can confirm that I too have killed the TED in the same way, and two times: I used some very cheap joystick converter cables on my very first plus/4 and it got hit by a shock though turned off when I've swapped'em, due to the capacitors still loaded after the shutoff. That's the reason why I continuously say to all the other users: detach the power cable and switch it on and off few tims to discharge the capacitors, before moving any other cable on a Plus/4, 'coz these cables have no ground! |
