Is there a PLUS4 emulation with working RS232?

Is there a working PLUS/4 emulation with working RS232? xplus4 in VICE is currently very broken in this respect.

Alas, no.... it would be next to impossible anyway, unless someone builds a realtime OS-like emulator that can support realtime HW signals. Like this one:

Anyway the standard OS of Plus4 has a severe bug in the RS232 managing. Keep it in mind if you want to build something using it.

Are you literally trying to tell me with a straight face, that absolutely nobody made a usable terminal emulator for the TED machines?

I'm not quite sure what working and real life usable ACIA emulation has to do with terminal emulators ever been written or not for TED machines?

Anyway. Go to the top of the page, click Search, enter terminal into the Search for: field and click the Search button. The results page will list Terminalsoft, Atari Terminal Emulator, HiggyTerm and Videotex Terminal in the Utility/Modem category, which programs most probably has something to do with terminal emulation. And a couple of forum posts and mails from a now defunct mailing list.

Ah, now I see. Mr. PLATOTerm is kicking open the barn doors on us, in person.

You should type "term" instead of "terminal" in the search box

tschak909: Why not load one of the available terminal prgs from this site onto Yape and see what happens in the RS232 registers in the simulator?

Re: Is there a PLUS4 emulation with working RS232?

Some ppl from US confirmed, that the C64 modems work with Plus/4 (maybe one pin need to be sepereted from user port)
There was no real plus/4 sales volume in the US to reach the attention and support, so it is not a big surprise that back in the 90s there was very few prgs..

Here in Eastern Europe the phone lines were less frequently available at homes and much more expensive, than in the US. Especially in Hungary (where we had volume sales) the BBS life was really sporadic. (certainly not at the universities, they provided bandwidth and free use. Mainly crackers/hackers used then for the better and faster scene info, than snailmail)

Maybe I am not wrong when I say, 90% of C= BBS servers were located in US.
Nowadays not an issue, but with dial-in, it could be a difference.
