Yeah, I've started noticing that they are very similar. I've been able to port most of the stuff between the systems quite easily, but since it's the first time programming on all three 8-bit commodores for me, things are not moving super fast.
I agree with you that the Plus/4 palette is really great! I'm so excited suddenly realizing how much I like the Plus4/C16/Vic-20! 
Hey thanks, I like the low resolution of the Vic-20, I think the game looks the most funny / humorous on the old Vic.
