 No Sound from TedPlay

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has managed to get TedPlay to work?

I've been trying with the PRG files in the HVTC

I have tried in Windows 10 and XP but I don't get sound from either?

Waiting for a definitive format, at the moment HVTC actually includes two folders: /HVTC contains all the "pure" code files with no player, /player contains executable .prg files to be run on an emulator. In order to play the music, you need the files in the /player folder.

Some of the .prg files you have to run can directly play music, some others provide for more tunes and need a selection via keyboard; the latter, of course, don't play yet on TEDplay, as it basically is a cutoff emulation.

Thanks, I tried the PRGs in the Player folder and they worked fine in YAPE happy

So TedPlay will support those files once a format is established?

 Re: No Sound from TedPlay

Hi, I tried porting TEDPlay to AmigaOS 4 four years ago. I was able to compile it and it ran but there was no sound. I though it was still buggy and I gave up.

I just tested my old Amiga port again with tls's newday tune (player/musicians/tlc/newday.prg). TEDPlay tells me that the song's init address is $0000 and the play address is $FE00. Are those correct addresses?

SDL_OpenAudio success!
Using audio driver : amigaos4
Type: Other
Chip: Unknown
Module: newday.prg
Author: Unknown
Released: Unknown
Total tunes: 1
Default tune: 1
Init: $0000
PlayAddress: $FE00

Thanks Luca grin

Spektro, if I understand it, I think TedPlay can read the data contained in the PRGs, but not the files themselves.
I think it would need the location of the audio data inside the PRG?

So once a format is established (like .ted etc) containing just the audio data it will then be read.
