Hi there,
my dad and I have collected a lot of C16 games in the 80s. As he does not fire up his old C16 anymore, he wants to sell all the games (around 100 games, mostly tapes including cases and inlays, some cartridges).
If it's allowed in this forum, I'd like to post a list and some photos - maybe someone can help us to estimate for how much he should sell the tapes... or perhaps there's someone who wants to buy all the stuff in one chunk.. ^^

There's definitely no rules against it. Go ahead, post your list and photos. If there's a lot of them (photos), I'd suggest an Imgur album, it's free and you can put them all in one place.

Also, I have written down a list of all the games. Most games are complete, but there are also some tapes without case and some single cartridges.
My dad is afraid that there might be some sort of "holy grail" of Plus/4-games, and that he might sell his collection at less than fair value. So, if anyone has an idea for how much he should ask, we'd very much appreciate it!

Could we take another look at the LOGO cartridge for the C16 and Plus/4? This is the one without the copyright statement on the label.
That cartridge should not exist. LOGO requires 64K of memory, which the C16 does not have.
Could you do us a favor? Please start up LOGO, then type this line and let us know the result.

That shouldn't be a problem; I have called my dad and asked him to check the cartridge.
It could take a few days because his Plus/4 is stored away in a box, but he promised to check that for you.

Thanks for the offers, but my dad wants to sell all the games in one chunk - at the moment he's trying to figure out for how much he should ask. One guy in our area wanted to buy all the games for € 180, but that was too little for my dad.

as a collector i wouldnt give you more than 50 Eur for the whole collection. You could get more, if you sell every single game at ebay. But don't expect to get more than a few euros for each complete game and you have all the work to send them separatly. If there is a real gem here, nobody would tell you, because most of us wouldnt want to
spent much money to get it. The C16 scene is small compared to other scenes, because the c16 had only a short life span. I think the 180 EU are a very good offer.

Check the prices for c16 tapes on the german en english ebay. Then you have a rough idea what other people ask. I don't know if they get the asking prices. 180 euro sounds good for the lot

I agree with Patrick and George ... I don't see anything in the list that would sell for original retail, let alone a premium.
The white cartridge is labelled as a Diagnostic cartridge, but without the other pieces, it's not very useful. Here is a link to a comparable C64 version, so you can have an idea what other pieces are needed: http://www.ebay.de/itm/161541605601
If your father's LOGO for the C16-Plus/4 shows a different number on the screen, we would want to see a photo of the ROMs inside, so we can verify the difference from what everyone else has. Otherwise I suspect we're looking at an erroneous label.

Thanks a lot for the feedback!
That sounds all very reasonable - I think I'll tell my dad to try to sell all the games for 200€. Of course we'll check the "Logo" cartridge before. I'll get back to you as soon as we manage to set up our good old Plus/4 again!

Hi and happy new year!
@JamesC: Just as promised: my dad has now tested the "LOGO" cartridges with his Plus/4.
The result is "32" in both cases; there was no difference except for the labels on the cartridges.
