Right, what Mad said above is correct: no effect. (So, just to extend on that a bit: when you're on the lower/upper border, the screen is already off  It doesn't get more off than that! Generally, the bulk of any processing happens here for both demos/games.)
Edit: I hope everyone is making some progress, I've gotten some feedback some folks and I definitely know several of you do :-) Quick note: I did an update to the home page, the number of "thinking about it" people is higher. The persuasion continues :-)
