By retro standards the C64 is pig slow when it comes to booting! It still fucks me off to this very day it's so slow because it just hangs there in the realm of faulty machine for far too long. Every time your booting, the C64 teases you in to thinking the VIC has finally given up...
C16/Plus4 goes ((BOOM)) in ya face and is almost instantaneous on booting! See a black screen like a C64 when booting with one of these then you know it's a sign from the GODS that the CPU or TED has gone to heaven.
