@Epy: To enter (look: enter not "open") inside a subdirectory you have to use:
PRINT#15,"/0:subdir name"
when inside, all commands (dir, validate, header, etc.) do work only for the area, data and files inside the subdir partition.
PRINT#15,"/" will return control to root directory.
