Well, if you'd just got 4 of 5 demos to compete, I suggest to release them and put a simple online voting java mask (or much simple by email) on your site. Thus, find a deadline for vote, instead.
We'll spread the voice beyond the plussiers in order to reach as many 8bit sceners as possible. 
At the moment, I remember my entry, the Csabo's one and maybe TLC/CNS and....MagerValp?

We talked about a coop demo earlier. Well, you probably can't wait for me than. You are right! Sorry!
But I try to finish somethig in the next two weeks and probably I will relase somethig to this compo. That is my deadline.

A multispeed tune would sufficiently slow down the effects so I prefer a simple one. Memory? Well, I think it should fit into 4-5K. The smaller the better.
