You could be right as I starting wondering my self after having some plays on a couple of games tonight. Skramble and Moon Buggy tapes are showing the game names including the C16 on the end of the FOUND file names.
Many more I'm sure and not just Anirog / Anco like you say. Wishful thinking I guess. 
Or maybe in some cases they were keeping C64 & C16 stuff on the same disks so not to get mixed up?
