Lavina, your post is also too long for what it says, the expression you were looking for is "TL;DR" 
I read over the article briefly. I agree that is wordy, but there's a lot of good stuff in there. He knows what he's talking about. Especially the transition from the 90s on - we all experienced it, but I haven't seen it expressed so well.
