hello,
I have most of the ICPUG Commodore +4 / C16 library but it is not complete.
Does anyone have any of the ICPUG disks, i will share all mine because i want to complete the library.
Also does anyone have the commodore C64, VIC20, PET and maybe amiga ones.

I have the complete ICPUG libraries for the C16/Plus 4. I'm aiming to have them all turned into D64's by the end of the year.

@shoulder, @[Chris I had a look at the impressive ICPUG collection you've assemblerd and archived: great job, guys! We're gonna preservate an untold story there! Clearly, we all would need an overall participation in order to archive all that material, and to begin I would say: we need a bit of background of the whole scenario.
Tell me if I got that: ICPUG as a long lasting UK based user group, was used to collect users' programs contributions and pack up some thematic disk to be spread to them, and the USA disks included are *actually* disks of collections coming from overseas. This would mean that the librarian in-charge at that given time, had to distribute those disks too, in addition to the regular ones.
Is that right, roughly? A question about Michael Kaszubski for TED Users Group (ex C16/+4 Users Group): is he from USA too? Is the TED User Group an USA based one?
The last newsletter's issue we have available as PDF here is ICPUG Newsletter Vol 10 No 1. Reading into it at page 80, the Plus/4 librarian writes: "The Plus/4 library now boasts 10 disks: Utilities, Games, Other, Financial, Mostlymath, American1, American2, American3, American4". Ok, apart the fact that they actuallty are 9 disks instead, does it mean that the so called "disks" originally did include several disks named, e. g., Games1 Games2 Games3, under the usual title of "Games"?

I am in the process of getting all of the manuals (buying them when I see them) scanned and completing the collection at:

ICPUG was like a club where they ran meetings, swapped software and did newsletters which was based in the UK and it financed itself from monthly/yearly subscriptions.
It covered initially PETs, when they were name IPUG. Later on the started to cover other Commodores and were renamed ICPUG. They had people called librarians who kept complete copies of the software for various machines and if you sent them a self addressed envelope with a stamp and 2 formatted 1541 disks they would copy the software you requested, or tapes if that was your thing.
When they shutdown the people who ran the organization decided they had to destroy the disks and other stuff so when I see the disks or manuals I try and get them, so once digital, all the better.
I have just sent Csabo the library disks and a big chunk of the library including a lot of USA stuff with most of the disks you mentioned. Each disk i.e. 'GAMES1' was the name/header of the disk and this disk contained many games and this was. I think of top of my head there are 3 games disks, GAMES1, GAMES2, GAMES3. American category is only 4 disks and USA category has about 30.

@shoulder thank you for your answer. Certainly, 1) we know about the facts about ICPUG, also due the links you preserved too in that page, as you can read here at Plus/4 World too, and 2) I obviously know about the big pack of disks you've sent to Csabo (it's the reason why I'm asking for more infos here!  ).
So, I would like to focus on the two or three specirfic questions I formulated in my post (please refer to it). Briefly:
- are the USA disks (collected in one big folder) actually disks including stuff coming from Overseas and added to the usual UK library at ICPUG?
- if the last newsletter we have sorts out 10 (actually 9) PD disks, but we have more than 10 into the collection you assembled, could be possible that under e.g. the label "GAMES" they intended the disks Games1.d64+Games2+d64+Games3.d64?

1) The USA disks in 1 folder: The disks are all named USA1, USA2.... The USA disks has software from the USA only. I can't remember if there was a particular member of another group based in the US that contributed their collections to ICPUG. These disks were officially added into the ICPUG library.
2) There are 3 Games disks. GAMES 1, GAMES 2, GAMES 3
3) On the library disk it gives you a list of all of the disks that are in the official library. But there is a pair of library disks which I don't think I have a lot of the disks. The newsletter might not list all of the disks in the library as it kept growing over time.
4) I have included an excel spreadsheet with information on the disks.
On a side note, if anyone has any non Commodore +4/C16 ICPUG disks they should consider archiving them aswell (i.e. C64/C128/PET/VIC20)

Certainly we will find very interesing things here, for example the CES introduced out beloved computers.
Let's read what the magazine says, I think nothing we've never heard before...
AThe Z8000 based Commodore computer is also interesting a little for us: the VDC video chip developed for that machine, later utilized in Bil Herd's next computer, the C128 (OK, after the LCD)

wow! Thank you for all the hard work!
It was a good read. There were so many interesting articles and special hardwares, softwares, it is hard to imagine, and almost noone remembers to these things. It is very interesting to see that time, when Commodore WAS the BIG and competitive and respected company. (OK, maybe in 1988 and 1990 unfortunately not any more)
