PC folder accessed by IEC drive emulator

I'm using a PC folder by an IEC emulator. I need to distinguish between the "first" file inside the PC folder and the rest files. This because the first file has to be diffently managed by my application.
In other hand: what is really the first file inside a PC folder? Is there a kind of "native order" and if yes, what does happen when files are deleted and new files saved?

I guess you're referring to the IEC emulation mode when the disk is mapped to a folder. I have no idea yet happy I checked the MSDN but alas to no avail.

This is the function I am using.

Found some info, it explains better than my words:

In FTP sites most people uses the ! character to ensure that their dir/file appears on top of an alphabetically sorted filelist. But for this the filelist must be sorted. Perhaps this can give you some ideas.
