Q: Plus4IDE - known problems with MS Vista?

Hello over there.
'Cause my old machine is wrecked, I needed to get a new one - but it runs with Vista...
When I try to rum Plus4IDE an error appears:
CodeMac component found, but not registered. Will attempt to register now.
So, I click OK. Then:

Runtime Error 339.
Component cmax20.ocx ... foobar... correctly registered: file missing or not invalid

AND a window (RegSvr32) opens with:
foobar... cmax20.ocx loaded, but failed with errorcode 0x80020009

I tried to reinstall a few times. Is that error a cause of Vista? Under XP I never had probs like that?
Thanx 4 hints.

Good thing: Its not a "vista only" problem. It happened on XP for me as well .
Bad thing: I couldnt find a solution. A reinstalled XP a few month later and it worked...

While not the same program, this vendor uses the same support file and has seen the same error you have. Hopefully their fix will work for you as well. (Put the downloaded file into your Plus4IDE directory, not the directory they tell you to.)

Try this solution:

1. Download "cmax20.ocx" from this site: http://www.extralabs.net/CMAX20.OCX

2. Put "cmax20.ocx" to your plus/4 IDE directory (eg: D:\utils\plus4ide )

3. Execute in Windows console:
regsvr32.exe "D:\utils\plus4ide\cmax20.ocx"

4. Run again

(i found this with Google, so it may not work at all but maybe it does... I haven't got this problem myself)
