You mean the price? It's a little high, but you have to admit that the included keyring and the postcard (which look authentic) are very rare. If I had money, I'd probably buy it wink

It does look authentic, as I owned the same version of this game back in the 1980's. My parents threw it out when they were clearing the attic out. Ever since I've been looking for another copy of it, but its a little expensive at that price.

Good, so authenticity is confirmed wink The price is arguable. When I looked around eBay just now, I saw a plain old C16 for over a 100$ - or was it pounds? Either way, THAT'S overpriced. This thing is SUPER rare apparently. However, because of that, the seller could have listed a lower price, and let the bidders fight it out.

Anyway, I guess we will see whether it sells and for how much. All we need for our archive is just that screenshot anyway wink

The keyring is very rare, but another thing is missing: In my package there is a white coupon wich is called "The Cuthbert Club". All who send it to microdeal got "1 Free issue of the cuthbert chronicle". £94,99 was absolutly overprised - also £50 would be to much.

As already mentioned, my cousin has caught to himself the auction...
...I have written him also already a mail and have tried to call him,
but the guy does not report back!
He already knows certainly what I want from him... wink

Re: Cuthbert on Ebay - Is it a (bad) joke ?

Yeah !! I've got the scans from my cousin yet: The huge Cover, the nicely Booklet (16 pages), the Postcard & the Key !

However, the pictures are still in .BMP formats (all together 36 MB !) - I'll still have to work on that to be able to send them as an email to Csabo...wink

Then I can still contribute a scanning of the "The Cuthbert Club"-Coupon from my own collection.

So Csabo, keep your post office box free, please - the scans still come today ! happy

Oh...something else:
The boys of MICRODEAL were quite small jokers...

2 examples:

1.) On one side of the key the following is written: "Please Return Key To Hotel Ledromica"

"Hotel Ledromica" ??? LEDROMICA = MICRODEAL

2.) On the last (described) side of the booklet the following is written as a concluding sentence: "May the force be with ye"

STAR WARS ??? Cuthbert in Space ???

wink happy

Re: Cuthbert on Ebay - Is it a (bad) joke ?

I have discovered even more interesting in the booklet...

- From the introduction (page 3): "In the year of 6502 BC,...."
MOS 6502 ???

- Page 10: Cuthbert with a small belly...and a tip: "Too much Ice Cream" happy

- Page 12: There are two tombstones illustrated...with the following inscriptions:

Tombstone1: R.I.P. (on the front) - IMAGINE (on the side)

Tombstone2: GONE BUT NEVER FOGOTTEN (on the front) - DRAGON DATA (on the side)

happy

You con convert the Bitmap (.BMP) with this Programm
http://www.pcfreunde.de/download/detail-8674/dr-regener-minimage.html
to .JPG or the blak and white in .TIF (FAX) so they will be smaler.
