Actually, I wasn't so much concerned about stealing ideas/code because I think we are all good sportsmen 
I asked that because I think when someone uploads his demo at an early date and ppl have seen it many times they are not as "surprised" when it finally comes to the voting phase. So I'd prefer a deadline and then a release all entries at once. Then all demos have the same "brand new stuff" factor
