I might change this for the benefit of XeO3 As for the compression, it should actually work for the properly installed codecs, Windows XP comes with a reasonable good video compressor, Microsoft Windows Media Video Codec. Sound however is in fact uncompressed PCM, one could use VirtualDub to manipulate the AVI any further than this.
